So After years of contemplation I’ve finally decided on having a BBL with Dr Stephanie Stover in Miami and Xiluet cosmetics! She doesn’t have a ton of photos of her work but from what I’ve seen and researched she’s very safe (double board Certified, no mal practice problems and has hospital privileges) my first concern is always safety, I have read too much about women walking away disfigured and in worse cases dead! This was a huge reason I choose her! I’m hoping to get surgery mid April so I will keep everyone updated!! If anyone has tips on recovery houses or if I should bring a friend please let me know!

My mom thinks I’m insane

So after finally putting a down payment down I decided to talk to my mom about the procedure and invite her to go with me... that didn’t go so well, she told me I was mentally ill and that “I needed to fix my mind before I fixed my body” ..... to preface this I am a 23 year old college graduate (with honors) in a corporate job as a high level sales manager! My entire life I’ve worked hard and focused on my grades and academic/career achievements is it wrong to for once want to focus on myself? Anyways does anyone have tips on how to speak to or deal with disapproving family members? Also I am uploading my pre op pics I am 5’11 and 205 (hoping to be 190 by surgery)

I am currently going through sort of a similar situation. My parents are unsupportive of my decision to undergo a BBL because they don't want anything bad to happen to me before and after the procedure. No matter how many times I reassure them, they are still nervous and express their disapproval, but will still accompany me to my surgery. What I've been doing is reminding myself that I chose an excellent surgeon and that I am in good hands, imagining how my body will look after all is said and done, and surrounding myself with people who are supportive of my decision (all my friends and boyfriend). Also been scouring Realself for reviews from dolls who have been in our shoes - there are quite a few! We definitely need all the positive vibes and prayers we can get pre-surgery so I'm sending you some right now :) Good luck!

I told my mom the other day. And to my surprise she says “yeah just tell them to do a transfer, from the front to the back” Lol. I think they a just worried.

lol yeah my mom is coming around, she wants to have a conversation about it! I can tell she’s just really scared, so I am! my mom is my best friend and this is causing such a strain on our relationship it’s making me not want to do it! I’m so glad your mom is supportive!

I didn’t expect her to be! I had a thyroidectomy years ago and she didn’t take that well, I came back from surgery and she was crying. She really sealed the deal for me, I wasn’t going to put down my deposit until I got her reaction.

I told my mother that I researched and I understand that this is a serious procedure and there are associated risk. I also told her although I can respect the fact that she disagrees I hope that she can respect the fact that I am a grown up and if this is what I feel is best for me I want her support in my decisions. My mom agrees because she realizes that tomorrow is not promised and she'd rather leave things between us and a good place rather than not

that's amazing! my mom doesn't agree but knows she also can't stop me, I've stopped telling her about the process!

PREOP Photos!!!! And wish pics
raerae_9423January 11, 2018
So here I am, definitely embarrassed by these pictures! But the support on here is amazing so I’m posting my photos! I am 5’11 and 210..it’s winter and I’ve gained a lot of weight, I’m working out and eating healthy and slowly losing weight.. is that bad? Ideally, I’d like to be 185-190 before I go in to surgery! Also here are my wish pics these are Dr. Stovers results , I don’t want a huge butt, i’d just like lift and projection! In your consultation what is the best way to express your wants, I want to make sure I am very straightforward and clear!
