I can't believe I'm finally ready to start posting on here! At my heaviest I was 260lbs and I got down to 155lbs. I am 5'10" so 155 was a good weight for me. Unfortunately my husband and I experienced 3 back to back miscarriages leaving doctors baffled as to why I suddenly can't carry a baby. With multiple tests and no answers, we decided not to proceed. This leads me to today, no baby means Im ready to focus on my belly and flap. I've had a couple consults and have been told by both that I am the text book example of needing a tummy tuck so that gives me soooo much hope I'll have amazing results. I gained a bit of weight from the 3 pregnancies and now am at 175/180 so my goal is to lose as much as possible prior to surgery. My last consult will be with Dr Lacerna and I heard she is great. As long s her demeanor is good and pricing doesn't jump from me going in, she will be who I probably go with. Goal is surgery for 1st week of August. I can't wait. I'm scared and I have anxiety about dying or horrible results that aren't worth it, etc. but trying to push that aside and be excited. I want to look like I feel like on the inside. I worked so hard to lose that weight I want to match my appearance to the hard work put in! Any tips or advice from anybody out there would be great! Thank you!

Thanks for posting all the pics and comments. You helped me to make a decision about the timing of my procedure.

No problem! I hope you find it helpful. I know it's very lengthy but I tried to include what I found helpful in others reviews. Good Luck! :)

So excited to find you- you are the exact same weight and height as me with your “before” and your stretch marks are very similar to mine as well. Your “after” is exactly what I am going for, so thank you for sharing! I go for my consult a week from today and you’ve made me so excited because it’s given me an idea of what I meant for look like after my surgery!

Omg yay!!!! I tried my damdest to find a match too! It's not easy. I'm so happy you found someone! I'll follow your progress. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. It was one of the best selfish decisions I ever did for myself!! You'll be so happy! :)

Your progress is incredible! You are taller than me, and I plan to be about the same weight you were pre-op before my surgery, but I think our basic body shape is similar in the torso and hips, so I'm showing my PS your before and after pics in hopes of a similar transformation! I love your shape! I am also probably about to be engaged, married by sometime next year, and although we won't actively try for pregnancy I think he wants it so it's a real possibility that I might be prego a year or so after my TT too! I am anxiously following your progress and hoping for a great result for you in bouncing back after pregnancy! I wish you all the best and I am so excited for you! Thank you so much for sharing your journey, you give me so much hope!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m so happy my journey has helped. That’s really my goal. It is very difficult to find someone on here with a similar body type so I know the struggle. Glad I could help in that department lol. I’m definitely keeping my journey going through this pregnancy. I’m scared and curious how it’ll hold up. Should be interesting to see. :)

Today I am 183lbs at 5'10". Heaviest I've been in years since I lost over 100lbs and got to 155. My goal by TT day is 165. I have two contradictory thoughts. 1) the more weight I lose the better results 2) why bother because they'll just cut it out anyway then I can lose weight after. Ultimately 1 is winning so I'll focus on that AND try to lose weight after. Who knows, maybe I'll get to the 140s when all said and done! I wish I knew how many inches I'll lose afterwards. Looking at my pictures I feel like I'd lose at least 5 in skin and belly fat but I just don't know. I can't wait. I just want to book it now. I called the office and they informed me it will be 2-3 weeks about after consult before surgery. I already know I'm going to use this dr unless something crazy happens or she is different from all her reviews, so that mean I should be good to go for end of July or early August. Seems like forever Away! At least it gives me time to focus on weight loss!

Hi there! Congrats on your major weight loss and upcoming surgery! I would recommend you get as close to your goal weight as possible before surgery. I can't remember what they say, but I think for you lose 15lbs (?) or more after the surgery, you risk having more loose skin...ask your doc though! They will know best! Good luck and I can't wait to see how everything goes!

Thank you! Yes I am dieting and exercising to get as close to ideal as possible. I want to be within 10 lbs which in 2 months is totally doable....hopefully lol

So exciting! I have my TT Scheduled for July 21. I would definitely try to get very close to your goal weight & any weight loss from the surgery itself, or no appetite after, is just a bonus!

One thing I have read over & over is women who have lost a lot of weight before a tummy tuck tend to swell A LOT after the surgery. I would recommend researching low sodium diets. I'm making my list now!

Oh yes! For sure low sodium. I bloat and swell sooooo bad as it is I am scared what this surgery is going to do!

I have never in my life looked at sodium of anything! I have counted calories and fat, but never sodium. I'm researching and practicing now so I will be ready in two weeks!

I've learned to eat bland! Lol! Chicken and veggies every night!

I'm so sorry to hear of your difficulties, and I'm glad you've gotten to a good place where you are focusing on you! My decision to do this was finally made in earnest following a very difficult time in my marriage, I decided I owed it to myself to be happy. I do fear the dying over elective surgery and leaving my kids motherless, right with ya there! Its only bc it's elective, if I had a medical need to go under I wouldn't flinch to do it. Our minds play cruel tricks like that.

I will follow your story, and try to post good pics of mine since we are both tall!

Any other taller ladies out there, please comment on mine so I can follow you and vice versa! :)

I asked in detail about the lady bits LOL and was told that as part of the tummy tuck my mons would actually be lifted - mine is super droopy. This is a great fringe benefit of a tummy tuck with high tension closure. And he assured me no loss of sensation there. (I have read sevl reviews of ladies having better sex after, so fingers are crossed there!)
July 12, 2017
Hi there! I'm one of them! Lol My mons got a pretty good lift to the point I can't pee down anymore. Haha! It goes forward like I actually have a penis targeting and pointing forward. Hahaha! Sorry if it's too graphic. And yes about sex! I can tell it's way better than before when I had extra skin down there. It was really good before too but now I'm just super fast lol No sensation lost. Good luck with your surgery! You will do great!

Gross! I have soooo much extra skin. I really want to know after TT time if I'll have much to even pinch. I can literally grasp fist fills of belly, skin and fat. So over this!
