I have been counting down the days with lipstick on my mirror. Every morning when I wake up, I change the number. Today, It reads 14!
I've read mixed reviews from different people about different Drs. I still feel Dr Lacerna is the one for me.
I will keep everyone updated beginning with my pre-op March 4th. I will share before and after photos as well.
Not really nervous, but very anxious.
Wish me luck!

My pre-op - 47 yr old female finally getting my BBL

I went to my pre-op with Dr Lacerna today. Her and her staff are amazing. They made me feel very comfortable and eased all of my anxieties. I had blood work and an EKG done. I also took my before pics. That was very hard. I hate being naked in front of people. I even made my husband leave the room. But,I will show my before and after photos in a few weeks.
I took my ipad with a list of questions and concerns as well as photos of BBLs I liked and didn't like. Dr Lacerna and her staff took the time I needed to go over them all with me. I didn't feel rushed at all. They didn't let me leave until I was sure I had no more concerns.
The number on my mirror says "8" today. I have 8 more days!!
I will write more after I have the surgery. Praying all goes well :)

This surgery has so many negatives and positives. Lets talk about the negatives first...
Nobody prepared me for the pain I was going to endure. I thought "I've birthed children and had a hysterectomy, nothing could be worse". Well, I was wrong. The pain I had to endure the first few days was excruciating! Out of all the stories I had read online, nobody mentioned that. Everyone just talked about their outcome. I want everyone to know, you will be in high levels of pain, you will have emotional roller coaster days, your garments will smother you at times, you will bleed heavily the first few days, you may experience claustrophobia like I did from sleeping on your stomach, and you will cry. But, the positives (?) It's all worth it!
The very first time I took off my garments, I was in shock at the bruising, but so overjoyed with my new body that I didn't care. I am amazed at the difference in my torso and buttocks!
I never dreamed I could have this small waist and big butt in one day! I was thinking about having a tummy tuck, but probably wont now. I will just exercise and tighten what I have.
Dr Lacerna and her staff were so attentive and listened to me go on and on about my expectations and fears. They continue to be very supportive each time I call in with questions. Im so happy I chose her!
I am uploading before and after pics my hubby and I took. He says the photos do not do the new butt justice..lol. He is in love with it.

Thank you so much for your review!! Thats what scares me, the pain!! Just don't know if I can handle that!! I want it done, but I just don't know!!

Now, in hind sight, its worth it. But at the time, I though I was stupid for doing it to myself willingly.
I think if I had been better prepared, it wouldn't have been so bad. I did figure out ways to tolerate the pain. For instance, I was only taking pain meds when I woke up. When I stayed on an every 4-6 hr schedule (whether I was hurting bad or not) it was much better. You can't wait until you are hurting to take your meds.
I also bought a twin size air mattress. It helped me sleep better because I could hug the edge and not smother. My bed has a 12 inch memory foam but I got too claustrophobic on it.
I only took 6 days off work and wish I had taken 10 or more. Thats when I started feeling good enough to work and actually getting dressed.
Also, you definitely need someone around to help you the first week. There is no way you can do it alone. You need a caretaker!
I don't want to scare anyone away from the procedure, I just want to help those planning on doing it to prepare themselves mentally. The results are amazing and totally worth the pain, but its real surgery.

Your review is so helpful. Thanks for sharing! I'm scheduled for BBL in August 2015. I need fat put onto my hips as well. How much cc she put on your buttocks (and hips if she did)?
June 17, 2015
She removed 4 liters and used most of it, if not all, in the buttocks...not sure how many cc that is.
