The Tale of Two Cities.

I'm about 22 days post op. Feeling great!! Feeling so great that I will return back to work physically in the office for a few days next week. I'm in a size 8 and it's comfortable. Back at my pre surgery weight - 200 lbs. Holiday celebrating was enjoyed too much!!

Around day 10 - I felled outside on ice. I hit my left cheek really hard. Looks like it didn't damage it too much.

Day 12 - I flew to see my daughter (I returned flights on Day 19). I sat on the bbl pillow for a two hour flight (twice for two flights).

Yesterday, I sat on it for an hour. Felt funny - like sitting on a ballon that you can't pop.

Got a new compression garment on Day 19. I'm going to wear the garments as much as I can; however, at night I feel like I'm having an anxiety attack when it's on. It's weird. I tolerate it at night as much as I can, but I'll be sooo glad when I can toss it. Funny thing is, I feel like my skin is detached when it's off.

6 Days Post Op

Day 2 - fooling around, waiting for my garments to dry. No undergarments underneath.

Whew!! Honestly, my recovery is going great! I was moving around nicely after my procedures. So today is day 6 and here's my recap:

Day 1 - Procedures done - lipo (arms, inner thighs, chin, back, and abdomen), breastlift, scar revision on flanks (prior tummy tuck), and fat transfer to buttocks (400 cc'/ each cheek - that's all he can get because I didn't have a lot of fat to work with. Believe me it was worth the stuffing. Hooefully, I don't lose more than 20% after the swelling and the 3 month waiting period). Total procedure time was 5 1/2 hours. Weight was 200 lbs before and 210 lbs afterwards. I have not taken my measurements.
Day 2 - I showered, wash my garments, pooped (yes), and walked around the house a few times throughout the day. Bruising appeared and so much leaking of juices from my lipo spots.
Day 3 - Stopped taking the happy meds the doctor gave me, but I still took my vitamins.
Day 4 - I felt very emotional about my procedures. I cried because my body feels foreign to me.
Day 5 - Felt better, walked the neighborhood block three times for five minutes each time.
Day 6 - Weight is 204. Can't find my measuring tape (so I huffy, that I couldn't chart my measurements). Lipo leaking has minized to small dips on my arm only. Probably because I use them a lot for movement. No pooping since day 2, maybe it's the vitamins or the thought of having the garments on that is messing with my pooping abilities.

Toughest part is sleeping - I can't get comfortable sleeping so I sleep more during the day verses at night. If I do find sleep, I wake up with a stiff neck and back pains.

The good - seems to be healing nicely and feeling great despite the fact that the garments are cutting into my skin because they are not fitted well.

The bad - missing out on social events (the doctor said I could, but it's finding appropriate clothes that fits that is a problem). I'm always in comfortable sweats.

Another thing, the garment gives me an illusion that it's bigger than without the garment. It sits higher with the garment.

Trying to determine how to sleep/comfort

So I am having multiple procedures done (includes bbl and breast lift) and I needed to figure out the best way to be comfortable by using gadgets. I purchased a lawn chair, which my husband will cut out a section and place blankets or form around. My PS is having a director's chair shipped to me. I have a bbl. Stand up desk at work when I return. And I had a customize pillow made, which I think I will use the most out of all the gadgets. I can place the pillow on my bed or on the sofa.
