DO NOT Waste Your Time or Money
I received Botox from Dr. Sarah Mess’s office on April 16, 2025, and it resulted in one of the worst cosmetic experiences I’ve ever had. Within days, I developed significant eyelid drooping, puffiness around my eyes, and a rash from the products applied to my skin. I followed up promptly to express my concern—and instead of offering a remedy, the doctor dismissed my symptoms and casually recommended over-the-counter solutions, despite me clearly stating that I have sensitive skin and had never had a reaction like this before.
There was no ownership, no corrective action, and no real concern shown for how this impacted my appearance or well-being. I left the appointment worse than when I arrived and was essentially told to wait it out because “it would wear off” and that I was “still pretty.” This felt patronizing and unprofessional, especially given that I sought medical cosmetic care—not empty compliments.
I have used Botox for years and have never had this kind of adverse result, nor have I ever been treated with such indifference by a provider. I’m now seeking corrective support elsewhere and will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Board of Physicians.
Save your money, your face, and your peace of mind. I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for safe, professional, and ethical care.
