To Anyone with a Fear of Needles - You Are in Good Hands Here!

My first visit to Aesthetics Hawaii was SUPER pleasant! The receptionists were very welcoming. Jenn took the time to talk to me, explain the TMJ botox procedure, show me how effective it can be, answered my questions and concerns, and was really relatable and approachable. She took note that I'm afraid of needles and was patient the entire time.
When Dr. Yew came in, he had already gone over with Jenn what we discussed so he was aware of my questions and readily provided me with advice and tips on how he will help me rewire the anxiety I feel about needles. I had requested to use numbing cream and they never once told me "no" or dissuade me; rather, both Dr. Yew and Jenn provided me with encouragement and a very comfortable setting where they set up a meditation app to help with breathing exercises. Doctor was very mindful to hide the syringe from me, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The two of them make an amazing team- They never rushed me, I didn't feel any pain, my anxiety level was really low (no cold sweats, no fidgeting), and while they guided me with the breathing exercise, Dr. gave me all the shots- and it was done just like that! Again, no pain and super minimal anxiety.
It's too early to see how much relief I will get from my TMJ pain (it will take 3-5 days for results) but I know from this visit alone that I will be returning. It's no wonder why Aesthetics Hawaii has great reviews.
Dr. Yew and Jenn are such positive, kind, and caring people. The two of them truly made my day!
