A botched rhinoplasty - biggest mistake I have ever made

ORIGINAL POST

A Botched Rhinoplasty by Dr Janjua

I had rhinoplasty surgery in March 2017 by Dr Janjua. Biggest mistake I have ever made. I’ve suffered for two years now with terrible allergies, nasal congestion and Not being able to breathe properly due to some sort of mass left in my left nostril which doesn’t allow me to breath properly. I can’t sleep on my right side because my nose shuts closed. I have had to sleep with my head propped up many nights. If I would have read some more on Dr Janjua, I would have never chosen him. When I woke up from surgery, DR Janjua was nowhere to be found. I was given instructions by the nurse. As a surgeon, it is his responsibility to be there when I woke up and give me a rundown on how the surgery went and post operation instructions.
I do not recommend anyone to use this Dr. ever.

So sorry to hear that. Have you had your surgeon check your airways? That sounds like a nightmare.
Did you have this surgery 2017 or 2019? I'm sorry to hear you have these issues. I have the same breathing issue in one of my nostrils after surgery with him.
Did he touch your turbinates? Do you think you have nasal valve collapse from the surgery? Check out the empty nose group on Facebook.
I got the surgery report and it didn't say anything about turbinates. I only had my alar and tip done....nothing else, so that should not have been touched, but who really knows.
As far as the nasal valve collapse, one surgeon did mention that could be what's going on in my left nostril, but he's not 100% sure. I feel like this is very likely what has happened. I'll need a revision because I can't deal with the breathing issue and the feeling of something constantly being inside of my nose. It's very annoying.
I’m sorry to hear that. I believe I have nasal valve collapse too on my left side. I also had an unnecessary turbinate reduction done that has caused me major issues. Turbinates reductions can cause breathing issues too. That’s why I asked if you had turbinate reduction. It seems like a lot of people who had their turbinates reduced have nasal valve collapse. :(
I had it done in 2017. My nose now bleeds constantly
Did he do a turbinate reduction? Check your surgical report.

I've read about this, and it sounds pretty scary. Some people have even committed suicide after having this go wrong as it ends up causing them so much distress.
