I'm 36 yrs old. I got my breast implants at 24 yrs old. Smooth Saline Mentors 300 but over filled to 360. I trusted the doctor to give me something that looked natural, hoping for a C cup, ending up with a D...and just way too big for my frame.
Wow was that a "crazy" time in my life. I have always been thin. Boys always made fun of my flat chest as a little girl and that stuck with me into my 20s when I decided to get breast implants. No, I didn't really think much of the future consequences since I was more worried about what people thought of me. I was very insecure at that point in my life.
Fast forward 13/14 years later. I had difficulty breastfeeding my baby. The guilt of having to stop before my 2-year goal eats at me every single day. I've always regretted getting the surgery done since day one. They never felt "normal" or comfortable. I've been constantly wearing a bra all thins time, even to bed I have to wear a sports bra or the pain of the implants moving and pulling keeps me awake.
Recently I've been feeling a burning and dull pain in my left breast which has progressively gotten worse since I have my baby 2 years ago. Apparently, it's the nerves in my breasts being constricted, per a few PS.
Over the years I have developed many symptoms. Are they from the implants? Who really knows but here goes:
Extreme Fatigue
Adrenal Issues
Hormonal Imbalance
Brain Fog
Memory Issues
Back Pain
Back, knee and wrist Joint Pain and swelling
Weight loss post baby - unable to gain weight and keep it on
Hair loss
Non-existant libido
Bouts of depression
Extreme Anxiety
Weakness
I have struggled with the removal process. Do I remove with the capsule or not? After months of research and thinking of my current health and current life situation, I have decided to leave the capsule in. Know that if I had silicone implants, I would have had it removed. I don't have much tissue to work with as is. I am hoping it is the right decision for me, my gut says it will be ok.
After consulting with 2 other PS, I have chosen Dr. Darrow in Boston, MA .
Keep me in your thoughts ladies! I'm so scared to be put under general since my cortisol and adrenals are not up to par.

Update
I just spoke with my PS and he is willing to remove my capsules. I'd like him to send my capsules and implants for testing. Does anyone know where he'd be able to send those? I'm in the Boston, MA area.

I also developed some of the symptoms you mention but never connected the health issues with my BA. It wasn't until I complained to my primary physician of the symptoms I was feeling: extreme fatigue, arms falling asleep regardless of the positioning at night, night sweats, brain fog, memory problems, some depression and anxiety, heart papalations and I'm sure other symptoms were present. She ran a thyroid panel blood work. I have some slight elevation possible hyper thyroid. I'm glad she suggested another lab specifically for hashimotos disease and sure enough I tested positive for this Auto Immune Disease. Upon researching on its origin I can across literate that associated BA with auto immune complications. I've changed my life style. Gluten free. My symptoms have drastically improved but now I need to explant. Thanks for sharing! Best of luck to you!
Are you also in the Boston area? Who did you choose to be your PS?
Are you on breast implant illness info on fb? LOTS of ppl in our place. Plus I would DEF NOT leave the capsule in!!
Hopefully he will be fair with you
You WILL feel much better soon!!! Keep us posted. ♡
