After making the decision to have a mommy makeover I extensively researched online to gather as much information and insight as I could before taking this admittedly scary step. Living in the Boston metro area I am certainly blessed with many options for plastic surgeons with stellar ratings on RealSelf and similar sites. However, I felt that Dr. Volpe was one a the few that really stood out. Studying the before and after photos on RealSelf and his website, I was impressed by how perfect and symmetrical, and just really natural and beautiful his results turned out. Judging by the pictures I got the impression that he was able to find the best look for each individual body type (and I also got a hunch that he is a perfectionist, which is not at all a bad thing in his profession). In the end, I narrowed my candidate list down to three and chose to initially meet with two different surgeons. Both meetings went very well and both surgeons and their staff were very nice and knowledgeable. During my consultation with Dr. Volpe he made sure to take all the time I needed to have all my questions and concerns answered. Without prompting, he picked up on the same issues I had identified with my body. I had brought my husband along for support, and he was very welcoming to him, incorporating him into the conversation. I decided to go with Dr. Volpe because he took a long time to thoroughly review and weigh all my options, and to make sure I had realistic expectations going into the procedure. I had the feeling that he was very sincere and caring, and would never promise something he could not achieve. That made me feel more comfortable going into this daunting procedure. I also liked the option to spend the night after the procedure at an overnight clinic. The procedure went exactly as planned without any complications, and the recovery was certainly at times tough, but actually not as bad as expected. Dr. Volpe and his team was super nice and supportive. Now almost 6 months after my procedure I am so glad I went through with the procedure and that I chose Dr. Volpe as my surgeon. I am immensely pleased and satisfied with the results. As hoped, Dr. Volpe was able to envision my pre-pregnancy body (well actually a bit better). By having a tummy tuck, liposuction and a breast lift and augmentation I now have the body of my dreams….and yes, he is a perfectionist and I am so happy that he is!! I can honestly give him my highest recommendations.
