Surgery Scheduled!

Hi! So I've finally made the decision to get rid of my fat face (been looking into this since my early 20's, I'm now 32.) I've always been a relatively smaller girl, (fluctuating from a size 6 to 10 throughout the years.) And I've always felt like my face makes me appear 10lbs heavier than I actually am. I CRINGE and die a little inside when I see photos taken of myself where I wasn't looking or prepared for it. It literally ruins my day. So I'm super excited (but also pretty nervous) to FINALLY get this done!

Good luck on your surgery. It is hard to make that kind of decision but if you've been thinking about it for that long I'm sure it is right for you. As an outsider, your face does not appear 'fat'. I'm sure it can look better with this surgery but rest easy knowing it was never that bad.

Good luck! I had chin and neck Lipo done October 30th and it was a great experience. The pain was very minimal and easily managed with 1 Advil. You won’t regret getting it done!!

Pre-Op Appointment

Just had my pre-op appointment yesterday with Dr. Leber. I went into it feeling very nervous and anxious (I tend to focus on all of the worst case scenarios) and have been going back and forth with the "Do I REALLY need this?" "What am I doing?!" And Dr. Leber alleviated all those fears. He was kind, confident, supportive, and gave me his cell number so I could text him at any time if I had any new questions or concerns I want to address with him. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, and walked me through the whole procedure. I walked into the appointment feeling scared and unsure of the whole thing, and I walked out feeling very excited and ready!

Ahhh so excited and nervous! I'm anxious to get this over with and into recovery. I wanted to add some more before photos too. (Ugh can't stand looking at them, so embarrassing.) Can't wait to see the after pics! One thing I keep thinking about though is how my doctor instructed me to wear the head garment 24/7 for only the first 4 days, and I'm reading from everyone on here that they had to wear it for 2 weeks. I told him that too, and he assured me that the 4 days will be enough but I can wear it longer if it makes me feel more comfortable. It would be awesome if only the 4 days is needed! Fingers crossed

I just had my smart Lipo for the chin and regular Lipo for back fat yesterday. Honestly wearing this head gear for 4 days is not that bad if you figure out how to hide it. Iam in the house for next few days because the back Lipo left me with a sore back i can barely get out of bed so the head gear is perfect for me. You’ll be fine though just drink lots of water and watch tv.

Good luck

Thank you!! Yeah for 4 days I'm not worried. It was the 2 weeks I was worried about. I guess we'll see :)

Now that’s it’s done i wish i would have done it sooner it’s so worth it. You’ll be a little itchy though especially around the incisions but just ignore it

I am almost 3 months post-op and I still wear my jaw bra for 2-3 hours each evening after dinner. It really helps with the ongoing itchy/irritated feeling that seems to feel worse at the end of the day and the lingering lumps and bumps.

Oh really? Yeah I’m going to try to wear it as often as a I can for the next 2 months or so since everyone else on this site is saying to wear it a lot and that it really does help in the long run.
