Deserves no stars. It’s taken me 5.5 years to write this. I went to Dr. Stephen’s because he was a board certified plastic surgeon that was preforming the celfina procedure to help reduce cellulite. I was 31 and in good health and shape. During my consult he mentioned that including a procedure called bodytite in the same region of the cellulite would provide a better look. He also mentioned that he would do the bodytite for free since this was a new combination he wanted to try, obviously now looking back this should have been a red flag, I was lured in with the free bodytite and was essentially his guinea pig. In addition, he mentioned that he might do lipo if he saw fit, he never said he would before going under just that he might. Again, I wasn’t overweight or out of shape. After my procedure, the bruising was awful and I had 4 holes, 2 on each side, on my posterior thighs directly in the middle, not discrete. These holes were from the lipo cannula. He didn’t tell me he would do the lipo for sure so this was a surprise. 4 months after my procedure I was on a vacation which was my chance to wear shorts, I was very self conscious of my legs and didn’t wear shorts at all, I noticed a huge indentation or “hills and valleys” on my posterior thighs from over aggressive lipo. I contacted the doctor while on vacation with accompanied pictures. When I returned home I met with the surgeon and he took no accountability. I told him I could feel what I thought was my tendon. All of the fat in that area was sucked out and all that was left was skin and tendon. My other leg has similar deformities as well. In addition to this, those 4 holes and discoloration are still present till this day.The skin is so thin under the holes from the lipo that there is no structure to support because it is just skin so the holes sink in. The scaring and placement of these incisions were completely not the standard of a plastics. I’ve had numerous laser and micro needing treatments to help with the scars to no avail. While I was given the chance to have this surgeon preform a fat transfer to those areas I declined as I don’t trust him nor do I believe he is qualified or capable to do so. It’s a huge lesson to learn that even a board certified surgeon like Dr. Stephen’s can make such gross errors that have made it near impossible to live life, not to mention the toll this has taken on my mental health. My wish to wear shorts is now a fantasy because of this disfigurement. Please do yourself a favor and never go to this surgeon. My life has been completely destroyed because of him. You can see this disfigurement through pants as well. I hate my body so much. I can’t find a revision specialist in the region of thighs so I’m just left to hide for the rest of my life.

Hello, thank you for your comment. Fillers from what I’ve read aren’t approved for areas other than the face. I have absolutely looked into this though. As far as the incisions, they are suppose to be within the creases or fold under the buttocks as to not be seen. I generally heal well. I am pretty light/fair skin and have had a breast lift done (different surgeon of course) and my healing has been fairly good in regard to scarring.
As for the dark spots, where were they supposed to be located since you say it isn't the standard placement? also do you generally heal well from cuts and such? or do you normally leave a scar?
something I should consider if I do any procedure since lighter or darker skin can sometimes have propensity for dark scarring.
