Absolutely Incredible Lower Body Lift & Arm Lift with Dr Agha

I am almost 8 months into my recovery from my lower body lift with Dr Agha, where do I begin? I lost over 100+ lbs a number of years ago, and I've managed to keep it off. Women reading this who have had weight fluctuations can understand, this took a toll on my body. Once I knew (for myself) that the weight loss was real and those lost pounds weren't going to suddenly reappear (only took about 5 years or so ), I knew I wanted to do something about the excess skin that had developed. However, it was only recently that the perfect intersection of timing and resources coincided with finally finding the perfect doctor.

From the start when I called to obtain information, Shireen was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic, patient and kind. (She is a huge part of the reason I came back to Dr Agha after all my other consultations.) Then, talking with Dr Agha, you realize you are getting the benefit of his years of experience and he still has such passion for his work, for being challenged, and for both learning and teaching. Having worked myself in the medical field and very closely with surgical subspecialists for over 10 years, I recognized that while some doctors who are 'experts in their field' tend to talk down, rush, or seem almost bored/jaded, Dr Agha is the exact opposite. I felt listened to and that every concern of mine was addressed. I never felt like a bother or that he had somewhere else he needed to be. When he was with me, I was his sole focus. Then most importantly, I never felt like he was trying to convince me. He presented what he could do, gave me realistic expectations, and then it was up to me. He didn't make me unreasonable promises. Having gone through many consultations, I can say that is an important 'x' factor.

Let me say clearly, this is a major surgery. (I'm speaking of the lower body lift. And I also had my arms lifted at the same time.) I had been through 19 surgeries at this point (several which I would consider very difficult/challenging), including one other cosmetic procedure, and thus as a result considered myself something of a surgery 'pro' (knowing how to prepare, what to expect, how to recover etc).  When I told him my surgical past, I must admit I was a bit alarmed when he said without hesitation, "this will be the toughest one yet". He makes it clear that you are entering a partnership. He will do his very best work, but it is your responsibility to follow both the pre and post instructions to the letter (Roma is incredible with setting you up with everything you need to know/get in advance, she is amazing and wise!) so that all his work (and your time/money) isn't 'wasted' but is given the very best chance to look its most spectacular. I mention this not to scare anyone away, but to say, go in with clear eyes. Know what you are signing up for and what will be expected of you if you want the best results. Have support systems in place and be prepared to take time off. It is worth it, believe me! I look in the mirror today and am still in shock. I never, ever thought I could look like this. It still brings tears to my eyes!

Let me also speak to the aftercare I received. I made the choice to go to the optional "Luxury Recovery Retreat", as it's called, for the first 4 nights. I'm so glad I made that choice. Having skilled nurses who know Dr Agha and have dealt with MANY of his patients, in a private home setting, was absolutely ideal. That initial period is by far the worst time and I'm glad my family didn't have to try to manage it. It is an added expense, but even a night or 2 can really make a difference (especially if you have the wound vac like I did). After that I was making regular trips down to have everything checked - PA Chelsea and Nicole were there every time and I cannot speak highly enough about the 2 of them. They listened to my questions, truly cared, took emails at all hours, and made awkward situations feel much less so (get used to being naked Lol). I actually looked forward to going to my appointments because they are such amazing, kind, beautiful women.

Dr Agha is an incredible doctor I would definitely choose again, a million times over. And he has put around him the best team of individuals that really carry you through the whole process. For anyone that is still in the considering stage and may be hesitating, let me just offer this. Yes, you may find places that have cheaper deals or 'discount' procedures. But as a wise person one said to me, coupons and discounts are for your groceries and cars, NOT for major surgery on your body. This isn't the time to look for the best price, but the best surgeon. And I can wholeheartedly say you will be getting that with Dr Agha!
