Dr. Steiger Redesigned my Nose!
ginasantoJuly 18, 2018
WORTH IT
Dr. Steiger far exceeded my expectations! I had a revision rhinoplasty and expected only minor changes. To my surprise, he fixed my very unattractive defects and magically redesigned the tip of my nose. I was absolutely shocked when he showed me my new nose in the recovery room! Thank you!!! You will never know what you did for me both physically and mentally!

The nose is so cute. It's like the perfect size for your face. Curious, did you ask for a bigger or a smaller nose?

Thank u!! I asked for a more feminine tip. I didn't post a pre-op straight on view but my tip was very turned up and off to one side. I told him to make as small as possible. He used ear cartilage to project my tip. He also said it was impossible to get a straight result because my nose was so crooked to begin with. I'll try to post a straight shot.

Gotcha, well it definitely looks more feminine/natural now. From the before photos posted, I can see the doc did a great job of fixing your upturned nose. A lot of people are also trying to fix their upturned nose, so thanks for sharing your experience and showing that it's possible to get a nice revision result.

Thank you!!! And it is still going down! He told me about 2 and half years for the final results since this was a revision for the 3rd time. I had the worst luck with my previous surgeons. They both took too much cartilage out, which was the older method of rhinoplasty. Of course, glad to help.

Are you satisfied with the width of your nose?

Hi Mel. Are you referring to the tip or nostril width? Well it can always be smaller lol...but it is still shrinking every few months. The tip is getting slimmer. He told me beforehand that it would appear wider since he had to bring my tip down. It was very tuned up so certain angles it looks very slim before. It does look wider now though when I smile especially. I broke my nose pretty bad in high school so it was impossible to straighten which he told me upfront. I think he made such a big improvement especially my profile! I'm happy as one can be with their revision after the third time. He did the best that could be done given my other surgeon's mistakes. Perfection for noses is tough. One can dream but I had a realistic expectation and he definitely exceeded that!

I am completely blown away that your implant looks just like the sized implant that my 2nd dr Put in my nose... the uneven nostrils are identical. I’m convinced these drs have a one dimensional view for every rhinoplasty they perform. High square bridge with an extended semi-pinched tip...glad your implant worked for your facial structure as your pics are really cute! I’m curious as to the function of your nose. How’s your breathing.

Thank you! Those preoperative straight on view pictures were after my second rhinoplasty and no implant was used, he just removed too much cartilage and made it look square and upturned. Now after my third revision with Dr. Steiger, in the postoperative pics there is ear cartilage in the tip. And yes now my breathing is good! :)
