Sculptra and Skilled Doctor...natural, Beautiful Look - Boca Raton, FL

WORTH IT$2,400
I just finished a 3rd round of sculptra. I've always been a runner and approaching mid-40's I wanted something to fill in my thinning face and restore youthful appearance. I had 1 vial each time, spaced 6 weeks apart (total of 3 vials). My doc, who is very experienced with the product, injected my cheeks, temples, and jawline. There was very minimal swelling/pain and no bruising (I was able to return to work the following day, injections un-noticed). I iced immediately afterward, and of course was diligent with the massaging (4X per day, 4 days). I began seeing results after only 4 weeks. I like that it's gradual. Having only 1 vial at a time, my doc and I could assess if/where more was needed and go from there. I also like that it gives a natural appearance--I've had the hyaluronic acid fillers in cheeks a couple years ago (different doc) but it looked synthetic to me. It's definitely important to find the right doc--not only someone knowledgeable about the risks of sculptra, but also knows about facial proportions (it's not all about the cheeks/midface). I feel I got a balanced looked, again the advantage of a little overtime to see the progression. In visits 2 and 3 we focused more on jaw/temples after seeing enough volume in cheeks from 1st round. I believe this 3rd visit will be my last, until I want a 'touch-up' in about a year or so. I wish sculptra could go under the eyes to fill my hollows there. However, the extra volume in cheeks/temples did minimized that (and hey, at my age I don't expect to look 20!). It's giving a really nice improvement.

Hi Lina, great review, thanks for posting! Would you post some pics too? Love to see those results!

You mention you had the hyaluronic acid fillers before - have you tried them for your eye troughs or is that something you're still considering?

I wish I had courage to post pics, because the pics on this site really helped me w/my research prior to the procedure, but I don't want to go too public (hence the benefit of sculptra being so subtle/natural :). As for HA fillers under eyes, I have thought about it but my main reservation is that it doesn't last long...so I'm not sure the $ is worth it.
