7 days post op

Finally feeling more human and I'm now only on motrin verses the heavier stuff. My appetite is back probably from boredom as much as anything. The swelling is definitely better and now I can feel how tight he pulled my abs! I'm still swollen but in really weird places like hips where it's hinting of dog ears but I don't think they are, I'm just swollen there still. It's really swollen in the middle where the ab work was done I guess. I'm feeling more positive about how everything is going to turn out it really is a roller coaster the first week! Pics to come!

drain and thighs

Oh I only have one drain it is producing about 30 to 40 ml every 12 hrs. I wonder if one drain is why I'm so swollen... But i think it is mostly swollen on the top from the lipo to my upper abs. He wasnt going to use a drain at all. I'm glad he did.

For the this the incisions that I can see look good. They are right in the groin crease and they come up toward the front. I think there's a but of an incision that goes down my thigh about an inch or so.... But I can't see it. I'm curious what it looks like. But the steristrips are still on so I'm not to eager to see. They pull a bit but are generally OK Anne amount of pain as my tummy incision. Thighs do look thinner and they have that shiny tight look so pretty excited bc I don't think they will touch after this! There's a lipo hole that hurts about mid way down my thigh...I forget it's there but it hurts when accidentally touched!

Finally....

I'm day 5 post op my surgery was actually on the 18th but not sure how to change it! I finally pooed. Thank God. Stick with the stool softeners and magnesium and whatever else you're all taking it will work it just needs time. I feel like a weight has been lifted. I'm also cutting way back on pain killers can probably rely on mortin from here on out. I saved 1 Norco for the trip to the Dr this afternoon for my post op appt. I'm moving better standing a bit straighter and can get up and down by myself. Hoping the swelling is even better today. I mostly sleep and relax and I'm up for longer periods of time now but still need a nap every 4 to 6 hours or so For about 4 to 6 hrs... so basically I'm up half a day. Luckily I don't have a thing to do my family has been great at taking care of me but I can tell they are a little tired of waiting on me...so it's good I'm getting up on my own. My mom did sleep in my room the first 3 nights...And Helped with the drain and bathroom breaks and most importantly snacks!

In terms of food I'm not eating a lot. I'm eating mostly protein. Eggs, chicken breasts, homemade chicken soup ( no noodles or rice), protein shakes, deli turkey and cheddar cheese. I'm drinking a lot of water and some Apple juice and lemon tea. When I get a sweet craving the protein shakes and ale juice help but I'm ready for a piece of chocolate!

Pic below is day 4 post op. ... better than day 2 I think. .. Can only get better.
