It will be 5 weeks on Thursday. I am still getting super tired super easy and am feeling more pain this week. I have a feeling it's from surviving prom and a graduation party these past few weeks. I feel like I probably over did it along with caring for my two little ones. I am not 100% happy with results yet. I have two little pouches right on my incision and hoping it's swelling. I also feel like my doctor was a little too conservative with the flank lypo. I will find out more as time passes.

I see this last post was in May. How are the pouches now? I have gone back and forth myself on whether I "deserve" this. It is a lot of money and time to invest in, plus the healing process. But after reading your story, I see we have similar struggles. Would you say you are overall satisfied with the end result?

I am 19 days post surgery. Today is the first day I woke up feeling like myself, I have had an emotional ride. I probably cried 10 times a day. It is an emotional time anyway with my first born graduating in a few weeks. I never one regretted surgery like others mentioned at this stage. I had a check up today and have been cleared to lift up to 30 pounds now - so yay! I can lift my daughter on my own again!!! Two days ago I woke up with fluish symptoms. Throwing up and very tired. Thankfully that lasted only one day. Felt like I drank a 12-pack!!! The nurse also pulled some sutures that did not dissolve and made their way to surface. That was NOT a good feeling! Ouch!! I will take a picture in the morning when swelling is low.

One thing I wanted to share - I got my period one day after surgery - and was two weeks early. The nurses said that it is common due to the trauma the body went through. I just thought I would let you ladies know to expect the unexpected!

Ugh...that's awful timing! I think our periods have a serious goal of coming at the most inconvenient times.

How are things going now? I hope better and that the pain is a lot less! I'm getting my tt w/lipo on May 22. I can't wait, but I really don't look forward to what you've been going through!

I have been off pain meds for some time now. I am sore, easily tired and don't feel like myself. A lot of women make the comment about not being themselves and I see what they mean. I was under the impression I would be bed bound for days. I was up more than expected. More like a csection recovery. Sleeping reclined is a must. And also the granny panties are good thing to have. You will want something to cover your incision so your band doesn't irritate it!! Im thankful my mother came this week and last week. She has been so helpful. I have the two little ones at home all day and no way I could have done this without her.....

Thanks so much for the tips. It's so helpful to hear how you're doing and progressing. I hope you feel like yourself soon. It's making more sense why women often get really emotional after their surgery. Sounds like it's a lot of healing! Are you able to stand up straight yet?
