Post Op Days #7-16

WORTH IT$7,000
Hey! It's been a few days since my last post. I'm still at home just taking it easy! I was doing a little too much moving around and somehow got a minor infection, it could be because I had my steri- strips on for 2 weeks, but other than that I feel great! I am still taking my pain killers (I was very mindful about making them last) and I have just started putting NewGel+E on my incisions. I initially planned on returning to work on December 17, 2014 but I am going to take it easy and return after the new year!

You look great! I was considering a breast reduction along with a tummy tuck but I wasn't sure whom to go to living in the Detroit area! I will definitely consider your surgeon although my husband doesn't want me to get the procedure!! Thanks for posting pics!! I can show these to him & get him to jump on the bandwagon!!
Your breast look amazing, I'm finding more and more women are doing the best work as PS. You look as if no work has been done! I'm so ready for mine to be done.

Post Op Day #6 and Post Op Appointment

Today was my first post op visit with Dr. Ellen. I didn't see her I just saw her PA Korrine who is just as wonderful. They removed my steri-strips and cleaned my wounds. I wish I would have taken a picture! They looked pretty good! The PA was very pleased with how they were healing and told me that she anticipated I would have had way more swelling because they had to pump my breasts with lots of fluids when they performed the reduction! I am beyond thrilled with the results!

I was initially afraid that they were too small but they are really growing on me! I tried on an old sports bra today and I was swimming in it. I will post a picture! I am so excited to go and purchase new cute clothing!!

During the visit I asked her what she anticipated my new size to be, she informed me that right now I was a large D, however after swelling goes away and gravity does its thing I may be a 38 C. I am totally fine with that!

I also asked her about scarring and when I could begin treating them. She said for now to keep the stereo-strips on them and not to bother with the scars. I rub vitamin e oil on the exposed breast tissue but I will do what she says and leave the scars alone until it is time to deal with them.

They recommend NewGel +E so I will definitely be purchasing that once they give me the ok. I have also heard wonderful things about BioOil and Mederma so I am going to look around and see which products have proven to work well.

I was informed that I can to ahead and start sleeping on my side as soon as it is comfortable! I went home from the office and immediately took a nap on my right side and it was heavenly.

I have my next appointment on December 23, 2014. But I will make sure I keep you a updated way before them!!

Kisses!

P.S my sister made me a cute before and after collage! Take a look :-)

Post Op Day #5

Hey ladies,

So I am feeling much better today. I literally have been doing nothing but laying in the bed on RS looking at pictures of breast since December 4th! I do not want to rise splitting my incisions or hampering my healing by doing too much!
I am still taking my pain killers but cutting down on the number that I take. I was taking Norco every 6 hours but I have started taking one Xartemis every 12 hours and I have absolutely ZERO PAIN.

My job really wants me to come back to work on December 17th, but I really want to take all the time that I need to heal. Luckily I will be getting 100% of my salary while out on FMLA/ Short Term Disability. I have my first Post-operative appointment tomorrow so I will ask the doctor when she would recommend me going back to work.

My headache has gone away and surprisingly I am getting used to sleeping on my back as much as I hate to admit it!

I will post my pics below!

Brilliant, sounds really positive. Are you putting on any creams to help with scaring?
No creams/ointments yet, I've just been letting them be! I will DEFINITELY be asking the surgeon if/when I can put anything on them.
You look fantastic. And you've got the right idea. Rest rest rest. Happy healing!
