I had 390cc implants put in shortly after turning 20. Before that I was a aaa cup, flat as a board with body image issues. I loved them for the first few years, they gave me the self confidence boost I really needed.
After about four years my cleavage started to show rippling on the right side, which got much worse after nursing 2 children for a combined 3 years.. and my right nipple kind of pointed off to the side a bit. I no longer felt confident in a bathing suit (it was tough finding ones that would hide my cleavage and still looked cute!) and the fact that I had plastic water bags under my skin was really starting bother me.
So after a lot of thought and research, last month I started the search for a PS to remove my implants. I choose a great PS who didn't make me feel pressured to have the implants replaced, and assured me I would not look deformed after. Fast forward to today, I am now implant free! They were removed with local anesthesia, and the whole procedure took about 45 minutes. I instantly felt a sense of relief when the first implant came out. It was uncomfortable at times, but nothing I couldn't bear and any time it got a little too much to handle they numbed the area up a little more for me. They wrapped me up in a compression garment which I'm told to keep on 24/7 aside from showering until my follow up next week. Unfortunately it was itchy so I adjusted it when I got home and what I saw underneath was not pretty.. So I'm going to wait at least a couple days before I post my after pics.. I can't bear to photograph them now! They look to empty and wrinkly.. I know I'm going to end up flat as a board again as I have very little breast tissue, but I'm really hoping my skin snaps back quickly!

trying to stay positive

Removed the gauze. My right incision is a bit painful. And I keep hearing air bubbles when I move certain ways. I guess that's normal? My random chest gurgling noises along with how awful I look is making it hard to stay positive, but I know things will get better..

Air bubbles are called crepitus and are just small pockets of air that happen during procedures sometimes. They should resolve on their own within a couple days I imagine... ask doc if they don't.
Hang in there!! allow yourself time to heal!

listen! you are really small, you have a small frame, and you are comparing 1 day post op! Don't do this to yourself. Give yourself some time, and focus on getting better. Order a breast pump. I have read on this site that breast pumps help the breasts fluff up faster, read about it first but do order one. I will likely order one to have on stand by. Its not fair to yourself to look one day post op, give yourself some time, stay in a compression bra, and get on with yourlife. They will start to fill out, I've seen many cases on this site and almost every single one fills out but it takes time :) best of luck and stay in touch, feel free to inbox me. I know what you are going through!

I meant "really small" as in your body frame/chest wall. I have a small chest wall to

I haven't heard of using a breast pump to help the tissue fluff! I already have one packed away with the kids baby stuff, I'll have to google it later, thanks!

i read it for the first time on this site and it seems to work for a lot of people i've also read that if your nipples are kind of caved in you can use something called a breast shield and keep it in your bra, mothers who are breast feeding use it to keep their nipples perky if they get sucked in.

Even though you are only one day post op, you already look EXPONENTIALLY better than you did with the implants. Your nipples are pointing forward now! And what exquisite nipples they are. Focus on that. Your perfect nipples are thanking you for letting them be their beautiful selves again.

Thank you for the awesome compliment! I never thought of it that way, it really is great to have them both pointing in the same direction again!!!

The gurgling sound is gone! Hooray! I had a few sharp pinc hung pains in my right incision site yesterday, but it seems to be better today. My skin has tightened up a litte. This much change in 2 days has me hopeful for what 2 weeks (and 2 months!) will bring. Reeeeally hope I "fluff up" like a lot of the other reviewers have... but it's not likely since I was so small to begin with. I'd be happy if the concave part filled in though!
