Breast Asymmetry

After researching breast implants for the last 20 years, this year at age 45 I finally did it. I first came across Mr Sterne at least 15 years ago when I started researching implants, I never went any further with it at the time, I wasn’t really ready, however I started to seriously research again late 2017 and again Mr Sterne’s name came up. I also had a friend who had had breast cancer and Mr Sterne had performed the reconstruction whilst working for the NHS. I didn’t really need to know much more. I went for 2 consultations and booked the procedure. I’m 6 months post op now, and I cannot speak highly enough of the whole process, Mr Sterne is calm, professional, a total expert in his field minus all the showmanship that sometimes seems to go with plastic surgery. I didn’t have a straightforward procedure as my breasts were different sizes but he listened to all my concerns and from then on I left it to him. It’s a real minefield when your researching especially for someone like me who can over-research ????. I have to admit there aren’t lots and lots of reviews out there for Mr Sterne and my own experience in finding him was initially down to word of mouth (like a secret little club) and his 30 years experience in both the NHS and private work, I also realised during the process that there are lots of fancy websites and offices out there but that does not guarantee a good result and it’s all about the surgeon you choose. This man has truly changed my life and I can’t thank him and his team enough, all along the way any queries I had were dealt with by Jude or Mr Sterne without hesitation and I never felt like I was just another woman having implants and the hospital staff at West Midlands hospital including the nurses and the anaesthetist were just lovely, I felt in safe hands. Take it from someone who spends 20 years researching things before making the move, that there is no better. ????

Day 4, the struggle is real!

Penny Poppet
Well, it's day 4, I'm definitely feeling the boobie blues, especially as I read all the reviews about people who are off meds on day 2. I'm normally quite resiliant but I'm really uncomfortable and I have pain on the underside of my right boob when I move, I think I may have over stretched on day 1. I've got to say I haven't really taken too much notice of how they look at the moment and I can't even begin to imagine trying clothes on etc. I'm still taking pain meds 4 times a day and I haven't been to the toilet, totally constipated :-(
Anyway I have another week off work so I'm praying I'll be somewhat back to normal by then. And I have total respect for those women saying that they were up and about in a couple of days, Ive bearly ventured out of bed since I got home and thats not like me at all.

Don't venture out then! Take this time for yourself and rest my friend! You don't want to over do it anyway....plus next week when you go back to work, you'll wish you had the time to chill! As for the constipation, I mixed prune juice and apple (I couldn't do straight prune) and that worked for me. Hopefully the pain will subside soon so you can get off the meds. But everyone's pain tolerance is different. You're only at day 4! However, that being said.... you boobs look amazing already! I know you said you haven't really looked at them yet, but your surgeon did an awesome job and they look great!!! Nice shape, nice space between them, symmetrical. You look fantastic!!! Get some rest, and please keep us updated!!! Happy healing my friend! Hugs!

Day 3, Post Op.

Penny Poppet
Came home yesterday at 11:00 am, slept on and off all day. On pain meds 4 times a day. Yesterday my sternum was painful and swollen but today the pain has moved to underneath my right boob. They feel heavy and tight, I feel like I need to hold them in place when I walk about just incase they fall off! My right is bigger than my left, I'm not sure if this is swelling, my right was my bigger boob which the PS removed breast tissue from to make them equal before inserting the same size implant. I can live with this though as there 100% better than before.
