Breast augmentation/lift--revision on areolas 12...
I'm very pleased with the result and pray my breasts maintain this appearance.
I was scheduled to arrive for surgery at 10am and was called back around 12:30pm. After waking up in the recovery room, or being awakened by the amazing surgical nurse (Carol or Wynne or both) I was asked questions to make sure I was mentally stable to go home and given ice water because I indicated severe thirst. If you decide to have your surgery with Dr. Hedden or Dr. Schaffer, I hope you get Wynne or Carol for your surgical nurse. There are two other fantastic nurses in the office-- Penny and I'm afraid I don't recall the name of the other young nurse--sorry. Sherry and Meredith cover the reception area and both are amazing, beautiful people. Nicole, the surgical coordinator, is equally phenomenal.
At my two week follow-up Dr. Hedden very gently removed the tape from my breasts and I was thrilled with the result.
Yesterday I ran into a housekeeper at the hotel that I stayed in during my first surgery and she told me based on my urging her to do something for herself and my enthusiasm about Dr. Hedden, she had a tummy tuck with him and she's been referring other people to his office. I do love seeing an Alabama surgeon with such a diverse clientele and look forward to sending more patients to Hedden Plastic Surgery.
Unfortunately I no longer have photos of my breasts after the areolas spread and the scars were raised and red (new phone).
Provider Review
Surgery is new to me so I'm quick to panic that something is wrong. Dr. Hedden has been so amazing in his patience with my panic episodes when I feel that I'm not being treated fairly or with concern. I live in NYC and rent an apartment in Birmingham for business purposes, but I made sure the location of the apartment was close to Dr. Hedden's office. The wait times have improved significantly since my first visit but are still longer than what I find acceptable when I'm paying for a service. In my own business I have a maximum 15 minute wait for clients because their time is just as valuable as my time. I know that Dr. Hedden values his patients and he always apologizes for the wait, it's just different with doctors because emergencies do arise. Also, he's not the one doing the scheduling.
