I'm at the very nervous stage. I think I am most concerned with the bruising after and that I may be cooped up for weeks. Whenever I have gotten fillers there has been a lot of swelling and bruising. I can't even imagine what this may be like. I can't wait for the final results , however. Any reassurance would be appreciated.

I had horrible bruising and swelling but was able to cover it with special make up after about 16 days. I went out several times without any problems.

What cover up do you recommend?

It's called Derma Blend. I got it at Ulta but I think Sephora carries it too. Be sure to follow the instructions to get the best coverage. Good luck!

Hi Casper888. A little over 3 weeks ago I had a mid-face lift, neck lift with liposuction, rhinoplasty (with rib harvesting), nasolabial fold implant (customized silicone implants designed by my surgeon), upper blepharoplasty, right otoplasty (pinning right ear back). I've had many plastic procedures. Surprisingly the facelift really wasn't painful, just pressure from the swelling and more discomfort than anything. If you are having rib removed for your rhinoplasty be prepared for pain and for your chest to be wrapped in a compression dressing after surgery. That is the worst part. Recovery is slow after a facelift. I'm still swollen and have some lumps and bumps. The swelling goes down each day. Do you have time off work to recover? Remember to take it easy and slow after surgery, eat well, and have support from friends and family.

I am a raging bruiser and I am 3 days post-op. Yeah I'm bruised like crazy on my neck.. but I feel ok about it. I really think the arnica pills and gel are helping and they are worth a try. It looks like you are having a big transformation, I will be following your progress and sending you lots of good wishes for a great result.

I'm not sure how much reassurance I can offer as I'm right with you. My face-lift is Monday so I also am at the nervous stage. I got my cardiac clearance today and all the pre-op is done. it is really real. I'm always hear to listen if you just need to talk through the fear. I wish you the best.

At least I'm not the only one on countdown. It is nerve-racking lol. 5 days for me. My surgery is Monday. I wish my doctor would have done the imaging . I would have loved to see it. I think we live in the same neck of the woods. I'm in the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.

Wow- you are quite beautiful either way. Thanks for sharing- I am still in the interview phase but will decide very soon. I am sure that you are well prepared and using the great advice from this website. Maybe a nice massage and yoga class? Best wishes!

I agree, you are very pretty now and I am sure the digital pics helped you with your decision. I am also interviewing doctor's as well and researching like crazy, especially Realself. I am going to a consultation with a doctor who uses the 3D imaging. My only question and concern is how well we heal and hopefully we get the results on the image taken!! Good luck to you!!
