Whew, I cannot believe the surgery is just 4 weeks...

Whew, I cannot believe the surgery is just 4 weeks away. I love that I came across this site and was able to read the experiences of so many other women. I decided, I always read reviews and never write my own and that I should with this one.

I am 31, 5 foot 6, 130 lbs. and a mother of two beautiful children, a girl and a boy. BA was never a consideration to me, pre-children as I was perfectly happy with my breasts. I was a 38C/36D. However, breastfeeding changes things. In addition to breastfeeding both LOs for a year each, during the years of having them I also decided to get healthy and lost 50 pounds. Combo-breastfeeding 2 children 1 year each+50lb weightloss=flapjacks for boobs!!!!!

That being said, I miss my old breasts and want them back. I went to 4 different consults and went with the PS I felt most comfortable with. Some were obsurd!!!! All PS informed me that it was necessary for me to have a lift with the implants as well, which I kind of saw coming. The type of lift will be a Lejour mastopexy or lollipop lift. The lift is done with and incision around the areola and an incision from the center of the bottom of the areola, thus giving it a lollipop appearance.

Now that surgery is just 4 weeks away, I am getting super nervous and thinking about things I didn't think about. I'm sure everything will be fine...but we worry. My youngest is 18mos. and I just thought, how am I going to get him in and out of the car when I take kids to daycare after returning to work? Eek!!! How will I put him down in his crib at night if hubby is working and same for getting him out in the morning!! I'm sure I will figure it all out, but just making me a lil nuts right now.

Don't have time to add photos today, but as soon as I get the chance I will put before pictures up, as I definitley want to do before and afters. Goodnight!

23 days to go!!!!

I still can't believe I'm 23 days away from getting beautiful breasts back... Yay!!! I finally got some before pictures, so as you ladies can see.... Flapjacks in need of repair!! Lol, to me, they literally look deflated, and I have one breast that sags more than the other! Looking at the pictures myself makes me just say wow... Those look nothing like they used to!!!

My husband expressed a concern to me yesterday that he is afraid I am going to be "cranky" post op. He said that I get a little cranky when I don't get to work out and he is right, I normally do. So he believes since I will be unable to post-op, that not only will I be in pain but I will be cranky from not working out and I'll just be difficult to deal with!!! I get his point and respect that he voiced a concern but come on now, I'm gong in to this KNOWING that I will not be able to work out for a while. The reason that I normally get cranky is because he is "busy" and I don't think that an hour or two is too much to ask for to take care of my body!! It doesn't happen very often that I am unable, he usually does make the time, but when he doesn't and there is no valid reason... Yes, I get "cranky." So, I told him I will dot best to keep my attitude in check, and I believe that it will be fine! I know that I am going to have limitations for a while and that is ok, sometimes we have to give a little. New gorgeous boobies in exchange for not working out for a little bit---I'll take it!!!

I'm wondering if the office is going to call sooner than the day before surgery for a final talk or something? What's has everyone else's experience been, you just wait until the day of for a final meeting and discussion with the PS? Just curious. Thanks. Off to work!!

Getting closer!!! Post-op bras???

In just a little more than two weeks--no more udders!!! Yippee!!! I have taken some more pictures, I want to make sure that I will have a good set of before pics and after pics!!!

So let's talk about post op bras shall we? I mean please someone talk to me about them!! I have noticed a lot of women posting about post op bras that THEY purchased, my PS said that they order one for me but didn't discuss what I need to buy for myself. A lot of women on here stated that the one the dr gives is uncomfortable so try just used their own. Ehhh... I feel like it's probably uncomfortable for a good reason!!!

Also, I haven't spoken with the PS or the office in quite some time... Since I paid my deposit months ago. I came across a piece of paper the other day tat said my final payment was due by today, hmmm... I didn't call today to verify that but I will on Monday. That being said when did you ladies have communication with the office pre-op? Like to finalize everything? Some ladies I noticed picked up their meds like the day before surgery, went to the office for bra fitting... Just wondering the time frame as I haven't heard a thing in a while!!

Sorry if I'm rambling, but you all know how it goes, the closer you get, the more you think of, and again.. So happy I found realself to be able to ask other women these things!!!
