Absolutely Love Results. After Years of Consideration, Dr. Rahban Was the Right Choice.
Great experience and results after years of considering. Extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and informative.
Excellent bedside manners, wonderful office staff.
A nose can transform an entire face. Since 8 years old I was obsessed with my nose and wanting it changed. It never felt like me. I had a strong personality, but an even stronger nose with a hump and a boxy tip. My profile was awful and looked like a bumpy road. I also had a deviated septum. I've gone back and forth for years on whether or not to have a septo-rhinoplasty, mostly out of fear of having awful results. I had a vision of exactly what I wanted changed and did not want to have a surgeon just do whatever they wanted anyway. I also did not have close resources who have had similar procedures to offer advice and guide me through, so I spent hours and hours on the internet for forums, RealSelf, etc.
I have followed Dr. Rahban's work off and on for about a year, with many others throughout the past decade. His results were the most natural, consistent, and flattering I could find. I admired how he crafted the nose to compliment and accentuate the rest of the facial features, and each nose is different from the next, perfect for that patient.
After graduation, I made the decision to begin my new life with the nose that I wanted. I set up the consultation (my first ever, I had never felt comfortable enough to go this far). Once I met Dr. Rahban, there was an instant connection. He is very transparent, straightforward, and at times even blunt, just my kind of person.
After voicing all of my ideas, wishes, and concerns, he took a considerable amount of time to explain each portion of the nose, what part it plays aesthetically and functionally, the current status of my nose, and the plan to make this a reality. I felt sure we had the same vision in mind and I left knowing he was the doctor for me.
Yes, his procedure is comparably higher to other surgeons in the area. I'm a firm believing that you get what you pay for and would much rather try to get a good deal on a car than on a permanent surgery that alters my face for the rest of my life. Worth it. Believe me.
The surgery itself was quick and easy. Recovery is pretty awful and uncomfortable for the first two weeks, but that is what is expected in a serious procedure like this, regardless of the doctor.
NOTE: I was TERRIFIED for two weeks after the surgery because of the shape and position it sat on my face. It is a big, fat, high, swollen piggy nose. I felt like a Who from Whoville. Don't worry, it's going to be great.
I began my new career 19 days after my procedure with no issues or obvious swelling/bruising. It looks better every day as it continues to settle in, decrease swelling, etc. I'm two months post-op and can finally stop stressing over my nose. I feel beautiful and don't constantly worry about the side of my face somebody is seeing. I don't have to choose a seating position at a dinner solely based on my "good side" now. I feel comfortable actually taking pictures to record my memories now, while before, I would freak out anytime someone pulled out a camera. Most importantly, it looks and feels natural, the way my nose always should have been. Also, not so worried about "RFB" anymore! Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. My cute nose balances out my RBF expressions. Absolutely love. Would recommend booking a consultation-- at the very least, you will be getting a $250 lesson teaching you all about the nose, sinuses, structures, feature, and your particular situation. At best, you will be on your way to transforming your appearance with the nose you always wanted.
