I went to Dr. Alter for a labiaplasty, I've been uncomfortable with the appearance of my vagina since I reached puberty, I'm 33 years old now and I've finally decided not to feel embarrassed about it any longer. I went to the first appointment expecting to feel at least self-conscious, since this is a subject that I never talk about with anyone. However, somehow Dr. Alter made me feel so comfortable, to talk about it or even show it to him wasn't difficult at all. I felt that he understood my struggle, and that I could rely on him for help. I had researched about Dr. Alter before making my first appointment, I already knew that he was the best doctor in this specialty, but I didn't expect that he would be so nice. A few days after the first appointment I called to his office in Beverly Hills to schedule the surgery, his staff was very helpful and gentle from the very beginning. The surgery was 6 days ago, I didn't bruise at all, and I just needed to take pain medicine in the first day. I did a labioplasty and a clitoral reduction. I did not bruise at all, and the stitches are almost invisible. I'm sure that after they dissolve I won't have visible scars. I got a little swollen, but to ice the area has helped a lot. But the most important is: Dr. Alter show me my vagina after the surgery, before it got swollen, and I loved!!! It looked so beautiful. When I saw it I felt so happy. It was the confirmation that was all worth. I already feel more confident with my body. I wouldn't recommend another doctor, he is the one who invented this technique. Bottom line: Go to the source. He is the best at this surgery. Do not make a mistake on something so important. I'm grateful to Dr. Alter and his team for being sensitive and taking such good care of me.
