I am a 42 year old mom of 2. I am in pretty great shape, work out every day, eat healthy, the whole deal. BUT I had loose skin from my 2 pregnancies (I gained 85 pounds each time) that I absolutely could not get rid of. It was such a bummer because no matter how hard I worked out, I still never felt comfortable in a bikini. I started researching tummy tucks a few years ago, but was very put off by the large hip to hip scar. After much research, I found Dr. Moelleken. I was very intrigued with his hybrid tummy tuck. It seemed right up my alley! I don't live in CA, so I had a consult over the phone, and even talking with Dr. Moelleken put me at ease and made my decision for me.
I had the hybrid tummy tuck just last week and I have to say I am thrilled. The experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Dr. Moelleken is a gem. He has an amazing bedside manner and never made me feel rushed or like I was asking silly questions. His office team is the absolute best. Penny has helped me from start to finish, and she is just so so wonderful. I love them all! Crystal, the wonderful anesthesiologist (I forget his name...I was a little loopy), everyone in the office-totally delightful.
When I saw the results yesterday I actually started to cry. A week out and looks so good, and I still have a lot of recovering. I will never ever go anywhere else for any plastic surgery/fillers/you name it. I am already planning my next visit! :)
A million thanks to Dr. Moelleken and his amazing team!

Thank you for the very nice comments!!! Of course the healing isn't done until a year, so we still have more work on creams, lasers, etc.

Hey there, and welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Do you have any before and after photos you'd be willing to add to your review?

I'm seriously thinking about flying down to him to do the same this summer. I think I have similar statistics: 41 y.o. mom - 110 lbs, 5'3 - I work out avidly. I don't have a ton of extra skin but my belly button looks horrible and I'd never be comfortable in a bikini. My questions for you: do you think you'll be comfortable in a bikini now? How does the scar look? Do you think it will be visible when your shirt lifts up when you're wearing low rise pants? How long did you stay in California? How long do you think it will be until you can do a hard work out again? How long do you need to be in compression garments? How long until you can drive? Would you feel comfortable messaging me before/after photos? I really want to do it and I've been obsessing about if for years- but I'm so scared. I'd love to hear from you since that's the dr I would use. Thank you so much! Katie

Sorry for all of the questions! :)

Hi! It has now been almost 3 weeks. Here is where I am right now: I definitely think I will be very comfortable in a bikini once the swelling is down. There are 2 scars: one is low, like a c-section scar, and the other is vertical above my belly button. The scars are not bad and I think they will fade into nothing. They are already healing nicely and I just started using silicone scar sheeting. I do not think they will be visible in a bikini at all. I stayed in CA for 8 days. I was told I could start light exercise after 4 weeks and resume everything after 6. That is the hardest part for me! I am to wear compression garments, like Spanx, for 3 weeks, but I think I might wear them until the swelling goes down. I was fine to drive a week after surgery. It's just the pain pills that you cannot be taking driving around. I will post pics when the swelling goes down. You should absolutely contact them! They are amazing and I cannot recommend Dr. Moelleken enough!

I would really love if you could post before and after photos!! I am wanting to get a hybrid tummy tuck by him as well. I have the same questions as the other woman in the comments. I am most interested in the scar....that is what I am afraid of
