I Feel Blessed to Be a Patient of Dr. Katzen's - Beverly Hills, CA

I first met Dr. Timothy Katzen in March of 2014, when I was several months into my massive weight loss journey. Knowing that I wanted to lose 180+ lbs and that excess skin was likely to be an issue, I researched plastic surgeons via various forums and through YouTube, and Dr Katzen ranked tops in those whose journeys I followed and respected who had experienced massive weight loss.  I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Katzen at a local event and I took it.  From my research alone and different testimonies I had read, I knew he was no ordinary plastic surgeon.  Many of the folks whose journeys I had watched as they lost their weight and then went on to have plastic surgery reconstruction to remove their loose skin were patients of Dr. Katzen and all were very pleased with their results. But even more, they were captivated by his true passion and individualized care, hence, I knew I had to meet him.  I also was able to meet some of his wonderful staff members (Lieu and others) who were avid watchers of my success, cheering me on from the sidelines as my weight dropped. I saw them again at two additional events and it was amazing to have such great support from a team who I was hopeful I would be able to engage and become a patient with when it came time for my own reconstruction.  
 
In July of 2015 I reached my goal of losing over 1/2 of my body weight and it was time for me to have my official pre-operative consultation with Dr Katzen to get a true scope of what would be necessary from a health and overall wellness perspective.  My husband and I went to his office in Beverly Hills, CA.  It was the second time my husband had met Dr. Katzen but the first for my consultation.  Dr. Katzen took the time to show us the results that would be achieved by doing the procedures that I felt were my greatest challenges and areas of opportunity for improvement.  Those procedures being an extended abdominoplasty with muscle repair, liposuction of my upper thighs, breast lift and breast augmentation. He took the time to answer our individual questions, not hurried and never making us feel like we were asking ignorant questions, and he was so very thorough.  Believe me, over the past couple of years seeing various doctors as part of my journey to health, I have come across many doctors who did not show me individualized attention like this, rather the feeling of being more like a number.  Never ever did we experience this with Dr. Katzen and he is a busy surgeon, but his calm nature, complete humbleness and confidence shared through his skill were unbeilevable. We both left the consultation completely at ease, knowing that Dr. Katzen was the right surgeon for me/us.  
 
And the amazing experience did not stop with the consultation. Dr. Katzen is simply the best in every way…. Believe me, as a former dr’s medical asst., I am picky and highly critical of healthcare.  I could not be more grateful for his passion for helping folks like me who have been in the trenches on this massive weight loss journey, his mastery in the art of reconstruction post massive weight loss, his tender and humble heart, his pre and post op care, his responsive nature to any of mine or my husband’s questions pre and post op. His willingness to come in on a Saturday to remove my drains, so I would feel more comfortable and not have to wait until the following Monday... What surgeon does this?  Dr. Katzen!
 
Being just 6 weeks post, I am thrilled with the results. All of his advisement has been spot on and I have followed his direction... He is tried and true.  It is my honor to recommend Dr. Katzen... I feel blessed to be a patient of his and I hope if you are considering reconstructive surgery whether post massive weight loss or not, you will meet with and truly consider, Dr. Timothy Katzen.
