Dr. Frankel did a very good job on my nose. However, since 2016, the swelling has had time to recede. All of the imperfections are now revealed. For some reason, he decided not to do fascia — even though he knew my nose was a difficult case. My nose now has the appearance of a slight inverted V. My left valve collapsed quite a while ago. It doesn’t look as great as it did in the beginning. I’m trying to wrap my tiny brain around the fact that a professional who teaches and who is considered to be the the top of his field would advise against requiring fascia on a fair/thin skinned individual. The thought that comes to mind is perhaps he was trying to outbid a famous competitor who I was considering to do my surgery. I’m disappointed because I trusted him. Now, I have some health problems, and I don’t know if I’m eligible for another surgery. My thin skin is healing and beginning to wrap around all of the imperfections and it’s not pretty. In short — Dr Frankel has no excuse. Another surgery could have been avoided if he had advised me differently. And, it makes me wonder if money wasn’t the motivation. Summary;: Great surgeon, needs to be driven more towards the perfection of the craft and the art. Money, and more importantly, reputation, will follow. I feel I made a mistake in judgement I my selection of a surgeon.
