Bruising
Oh, one more thing. My recovery experience was fairly easy, but I did get really bad bruising! I didn't really read about that lasting a long time in other people's stories so I wanted to mention it. About two weeks ago the actual bruising finally faded (it never really faded in the normal stages from purple, red, green, yellow- it was just really dark purple for a long time, then red, then kind of broke up from within... weird!), but I still have noticeable brown shadowing in the hollows of my eyes, making me look tired all the time. It's annoying, and I've heard it can last for months, but it's not permanent and overall dealing with it is still worth it to me for the surgery results.
Quick Update
Almost 9 weeks post op! I'm so happy with my results so far- of course there's still some swelling, especially in the tip. But I got all my pictures from Dr. Fleming's office and I can see the huge improvements already between the before and afters. These post op pictures were taken on September 22, only 7 weeks after the surgery.
Day 13 Post-Op
I had another post-op appointment today and took the opportunity to put makeup on and cover my bruises :) The tip is still swollen and a little upturned, but Dr. Fleming said it looks better than he expected at this stage.

Dr. Fleming puts you at ease as soon as you meet him. He is very confident and has so much experience, but he really takes the time to explain everything, answer all questions (no matter how trivial), and reassure his patients (in my experience so far).
