According to Chinese face readings, if you change your nose, you change your destiny. If that is true, mine has been altered multiple times. My rhinoplasty journey began 10 years ago. After my first surgery, I developed tip bossae, a scooped out bridge, and an over projected profile. In 2015, I had a second procedure with another surgeon to correct these issues. My nose was brought closer to my face and was augmented with fascia and other grafts to create a more natural appearance. This time my nose turned out bulky and overly shortened. The result was disappointing and did not fit my face.
After consulting with Dr. Frankel, Profiles, and Dr. Fleming to see what could be done, I decided to move forward with Dr. Frankel. I had been following his work for years and felt most comfortable with his skills and aesthetic vision for my nose. My third (and final!) rhinoplasty with irradiated rib graft was this week and I am now 7 days post op. Despite some anxiety the morning of the procedure, I have had a positive experience at the lasky clinic so far. The nurse prepping me for surgery was excellent and really helped ameliorate my concerns. Dr. Frankel was prepared to discuss last minute details before the surgery and left me feeling confident that he had achieved our goals afterwards. I’m a bit nervous about the swelling process, but excited to see my new nose soon!

I had my cast removed yesterday. My nose looks larger than it did before in every direction. I thought I resembled an avatar character when I first saw it. I am trying to stay positive and hoping it’s just very badly swollen at this early stage. Dr Frankel, Dr. Culver, and Vicki have been supportive and tried to remind me that I have much healing ahead of me.

The swelling in the first week can be horrible !!! I am sure it Will go down a LOT ! What did Frankel do for you ?

Thanks for the encouragement! I am on day 9 post op and have a very large swollen nose. Everything Dr. Frankel did was of a reductive nature. He removed excess grafting from a prior rhinoplasty.

Well you're still si early. Don't freak out yet, your nose has been traumatized (a nose surgery is exactly that) and we all react differently. Some have crazy swelling, others almost no swelling.
How long the surgery lasted influences the post op swelling too.
Any way, be patient your nose Will go down.

Thank you so much!! :) My surgery lasted over 4 hours! I am actually seeing subtle changes happening every day now.

Im sure he charged you for "extra time" because your surgery was "soooooooooo difficult". Do your nostrlls look pulled down and tight? Does your upper lip look longer? Is your tip pointy and narrow and beaky?

I am now 1 year and 3 months post op from my revision rhinoplasty in 2018. My nose looks like the one I should have been born with. All features on my face blend a little bit better and I've never felt more comfortable with the way I look.

Will you be posting photos ? I once researched this surgeon for myself, but honestly am surprised people are still going to him amongst all the controversy involving him. I must say, you’re brave to trust him with your face.

No, I did not have a surgery with this surgeon, I had one with another really sucky surgeon who puts himself out as an expert. Frauds

I went from being a pretty woman with a flawed nose to looking like a deformed,mangled horror. It affected my appearance in all aspects. My smile became a grimace because the anatomy around my mouth was affected. My nose didnt even look human and I had to hide for years.

Im sure he charged you extra after the procedure because it went "waaaaaaaaaay longer than anticipated" and your nose was "sooooooooo difficult" (usually around $3k extra). Do your nostrils look dragged downward and inward? Is the tip narrow, pointy and beaky? Does your upper lip look longer and growing? Is your columella shorter and pulling your nose inward?

Thank you so much for the support. I am finally catching up with my review. I have been very busy this year but my nose looks great! I am so happy and grateful to have finally put this surgery behind me.

I am now 1 year and 3 months post op and am thrilled with the results! I have never felt more confident and comfortable with the look of my nose. I’ve received several compliments from strangers about having a nice nose/profile in the past few months. I can’t tell you what this means to me. Game changer.
As far as healing goes, it took a while for me. I have been getting steroid shots periodically during this past year. I actually had one injection during a recent visit so I suspect there is a small amount of swelling left in my nose. I am hoping to get a bit more definition around the supra tip area eventually.

You're brave to go through with surgery again. Thank God the surgery went well.
