A year to the date

WORTH IT
Well it's been a year, just saw Dr. Calvert and asked him do do a little revision to the tip. This is not uncommon at all. Everything else is perfect! Straight and even. I'm also having Dr. Calvert put in angled jaw implants this will balance the cheek implants and give that chiseled look even more . These are placed on the back of the jaw ( bottom ) by the ear making the jaw appear wider. Dr. Calverts talent has. Exceeded my expectations . I can't wait to see how this turns out. After that the buckle fat repair pad I can't wait to see how this turns out. I've been fortunate enough to have had several procedures done with Dr. Calvert they've all turned out very well I'm not surprised. Will keep you updated.

Dr. Calverts specialty is revision and difficult rhinoplasty . He did a amazing job! He did warn me that the rib graft would be very painful! He recommended that I stay in a after care surgical center but I did not listen and insisted on going home! I wish I had listened to the Dr. 8 days later I had the splints and sutures removed and I can breathe again ( thank god)

any updated pics?
Rib cartilage use for nose revision is really that painful? I'm considering this option for my revision as well. I hope you have a smooth recovery and a wonderful result!
The rib graft is painful but with pain meds you will be fine. Focus on the end result from what I have seen those beautiful perfect noses use rib graft it shapes and is much stronger than ear cartilage . Check out my Dr. Jay Calvert he accepts some ins and dosnt charge for a consultation . He will answer all your question and bring up other points you may not have thought of Best of luck
Are you still happy? Any wharping?
Are you still happy ?
No. Not right now all of the swelling is gone but one nostril didn't have enough tissue to support good volume. ( it's noticeably week and has a small crease on the side. My surgeon is very professional and supportive. This does happen sometimes . I will need an other rib graft which will be very painful ( and yes,yes it is extraordinarily painful by far the worst pain I have been in.) my Dr. Is right on it so it's being handled. Should have surgery in later June

Recently I noticed I could not breath out of my left nostril. I had already had a great rhinoplasty five years ago now I had this problem. I returned to my plastic surgeon only to find out I had developed scar tissue in that nostril. A rhinoplasty repair was the only option and since I had no real available ear cartilage I has a rib graft! My god I have never been in so much pain! But, eight days later I can breath again.

Thank you for sharing! Any idea why this time around was so painful?
Yes. He used a rib graft in constructing the new nose where he normally would have used cartilage from my year. The rib was the most painful part of the procedure . Second was a fascia graft taken from my scalp above my ear.
Are you happy with the way it looks ?
Yes. It's still swollen but I can tell it looks much better. The most important thing is I can breathe without any hesitation
I am. It's still quite swollen but I like the way it looks more important it's easy for me to breathe again
I went to my plastic surgeon today. He took off all the tape ( most surgeons will tape after splint and tubes are removed). The selling was really down. My nose looks great, but then again I have had many procedures with him. He is a truly gifted surgeon and a gentalman . Great bedside manor, cares about people.
How much does he charge ?
It depends on what you need and if your procedures are covered by ins. His office staff will help you find out what benefits you may have. At least you could get a complementary consultation. It will help you decide what best for you and inform you of other options. If your in California check out my surgeon ( I have had several procedures with him ) he's is a gifted surgeon. That was supposed to be swelling not selling!
Can you please post pictures??
As soon as I get better pics.
