WORTH IT$16,650
I spoke to Dr Ghavami after I was displeased with my first rhinoplasty. I am middle eastern mixed with Caucasian and I didn't realize initially that I had an "ethnic nose" which is actually harder to perform surgery on than non ethnic. I heard he was the ethnic rhinoplasty master so I had to talk to him. My nostrils were wide and flared, big bulbous tip, with wide, and thick skin. The worst possible combination on the planet if you ask me, (especially for a female!) My first nose job the dr basically just removed my hump and he charged me 11k! Really?! Yes really. Everything else looked the same, but actually WORSE to be honest because without the hump- my flare and width looked even worse, I couldn't even bear to look at myself or take photos, it was depressing and embarrassing, I paid to look like a troll :( . So I save up my money, and Took the plunge feb 28, It's been almost 2 weeks since my surgery, and despite the swelling, I can already tell the dr did a fabulous job and it will be the nose of my dreams once the swelling is gone. Dr Ghavami is not for the bargain shopper, he is pricey, but really? Who bargains on your face?! He is worth saving up for, he is a true artist and his staff was a 100 percent class act the whole journey, rose and aman particularly stood out with their patience, kindness and understanding toward my situation. FYI- my nose ended up taking about 3 hours for the reconstruction. A cartilage graft was removed from the back of my ear to rebuild my tip and make my nostril flare go away. This is where alot of my costs added up, and I think the price will really vary depending on individual needs, it's worth your happiness and final result to invest a visit with him. I will add more to my review in 3 months once a lot of swelling goes down.

4 and a half months post op
Loving my new nose. Its still swollen, but I am really happy so far. I don't have to shade in the sides of my nose anymore to make it look thinner, I am not self conscious about the nostril flare anymore either because Dr. Ghavami fixed that with the cartilage graft. Heres a cell phone shot I took of myself today. Every few months I can add more to show the decrease in swelling. The tip is definitely still super swollen so I am excited to see my final result when about a year post op rolls around. Patience is a virtue I suppose :)

Hey lady! You look gorgeous!! I am 2 weeks post-op. I had my second tip revision to correct the exact same issues you had. My surgery was also about 3 hours and involved ear cartilage to bring the nostril rims down and further refine the tip. My surgeon says we hit the bull's eye so I pray he's right and it stays as perfect as it appears to be. I don't want my tip to drop anymore, it's fab where it is. Did you find your tip dropped over time? From the picture, it appears to have stayed nice and lifted just perfectly.

Hi there! Thank you for the compliment. I am so happy and no my tip hasn't dropped at all luckily, it's just swollen which is normal. I hope your nose turns out perfectly, and
I know it's nerve wracking waiting to see the final result! Ill post more photos in the next 2 months and so on. :) best wishes!

Hi. It looks really wonderful. When did you get to glimpse the "final result"--e.g., is there a time of day the nose looks better? Did any bones need to be re-broken or anything shifted? Did Dr. Ghavami suggest septal cartilage at all? (I'm about to have a revision myself and am also of mixed descent.)
When could you go back to work, and when did the nose look more refined than the "old one"? How do you know you're still swollen?

Thanks so much. Ill try to Awnser your questions to best of
My knowledge. So here goes. My swelling is worse when I wake up bc I sleep on my stomach. It also swells bad when I drink alcohol. I rarely drinks so I really notice it when I do! Not sure if he had to break bones bc my first surgery my other dr broke my nose for sure, that was to fix my extreme mangled deviation I acquired during an accident as a child. (Completely couldn't breath out of left nostril before first surgery and that was fixed) my "around the eye" swelling was worse after first surgery so I am not sure if dr Ghavami had to rebreak it, but I can ask when I see him next month. The only cartilage I know dr Ghavami removed was behind my ear, that was done to fill the "curly" nasal flare. I could work after 7
Days. The new nose looked immediately more refined than the previous nose once my bandages were first removed, and I can tell its still swollen bc you can feel the swelling. You'll understand what I mean more when you get yours done. It also is always different sizes so that too, is how I know it's still swollen.
Plus the tip is always the most stubborn place that stays swollen the longest, usually for 1-1.5 years. Hope that helps Awnser your questions!
Next month I hope to get the cortizone steroid shot I heard about to reduce swelling. Ill ask dr Ghavami if he will do it, and will report back to you all at that time.
