WORTH IT
Hey all, I had some people asking for recent photos. These were taken within the last 2 weeks. I certainly see a huge difference in my before photos and I know it is a drastic improvement, I am only upset about the scar I now have on my nose from the mysterious blister I got from my cast. It has left a visible scar and a dent that affects my profile angle. I am self conscious about it and no matter how much makeup I wear, in bad lighting or sunlight you can easily see it. In good lighting and certain photos, you can't see it at all. I also wish my bridge was a little more straight or even sloped from the profile and I wish the tip was a little more upturned. Still waiting to see what changes will happen as the swelling continues to go down. So is it perfect? No. But I wouldn't trade it for my old nose and it is still better than I thought it could ever be. I especially like how straight the front is now. I believe Dr. Motykie is extremely talented and I don't think I could have found a better surgeon.
Dr. M feels very bad about the scar on my nose and can't figure out why it happened. He is going to use juevderm to fill the dent at no cost to me. I have an appointment at the end of the month to see him about it. I think he will do whatever it takes to make it right. I will keep you posted on that part.
As far as the facial fat transfer, I think it really improved my symmetry and especially my eye hollows. I still feel like my cheeks look a little too puffy when I smile. Hoping that part will continue to go down. I also still can't smile as big as I used to. My upper teeth don't show as much as they did before. Not sure if this is from the alar base reduction from the rhinoplasty or the FFT. Has anyone else had this and does it get better??

you look amazing!
Thank you!
Wow, I really don't think you could have gotten a better result...Your tip bossae and over projection / rotation got resolved perfectly. Sorry about the scarring. If that's the only issue you have going on when the swelling goes away, consider yourself super lucky.
Thank you!
You look fantastic! So natural and fits perfectly with your face. Looking forward to more updates. Do you notice your nose when you look in the mirror or is that feeling gone?
Thank you! I'm at week 9 so I am getting used to the new me. But it did take a while to adjust.
You look beautiful. I am about 6 months, & I have a similar dent/scar. I feel as my nose heals/slims, it is more obvious. I had a terrible pimple high on my bridge & it got so infected, green puss came out of it! It finally got to point it was healing & I saw this dermatologist that literally ripped off the scab. Just then I had this dark pink scar.... but I'm noticing just above it, is a hard bump (bone pointing). And when I press against the bridge, there is a dent. If I wear makeup I don't think anyone notices, but today my husband said it looked like something was wrong. I will post pics
So is the dent from the pimple? Mine was from the scab from a mysterious blister under my cast. What does Dr. G say about it? Motykie has been really trying to help me with mine.
I had a dent from 1st rhino (that was more on side), it feels like a tiny hole cut out of bridge. But with revision with Dr. G that also fixed my deviated septum he had to break bones & rebuild bridge, so that dent moved to center. The bump above it that feels like a bone sticking out & is totally new(?) I had contacted Dr. G when I had the infected pimple but past 2 weeks nose has slimmed out, so bump is getting more obvious-- I need to meet him to figure it out.
Girl, I ain’t gonna lie.. I felt scared for you when I was scrolling through the cast pictures, but I must say .. your nose settled so nicely. Phew! You look fantabulous ❤️ I love the new you

Day 12, Tuesday

Its hard to believe but I feel like my bruising looks worse than it did a few days ago. The swelling has gone down but the bruising looks darker and more purple and my eyelids feel saggier than normal, which is very disappointing because I was hoping I would be able to leave the house by now. The scab on my nose is continuing to heal. However, It appears as though one part is so deep that it indents in my nose a little. I am really hoping it will heal without leaving a scar or a permanent indent, but if it does I will look into fillers to see if I can fix it. My nose is still super swollen and the tip of my nose is drooping a little uneven but it also feel really swollen so I am hopeful it will heal up nicely, its just hard to be patient. I finally got some arnica gel and have been putting it on my bruises 4 times a day along with heat compression.
As far as the fat transfer it is just doing its normal thing. I am not excepting to look normal for a few months. My smile is extremely weird so I guess I will be avoiding that for a while. I used to actually like my smile, I posted a photo just to show how funny it looks.
Just curious if anyone reading this had bruising this bad on day 12?

You look great! How are you doing now? I am currently 6 days post op a rhinoplasty revision and fat transfer to my face. I can't smile or move my face hardly. I go tomorrow... well it's after midnight now so I go today to get my splint off. I'm so nervous to see my nose.
Hi, I posted a 2 month update just now. Please message me about any questions. I just went through all that so I know what a roller coaster of emotions it can be. How are you doing?
Just looked at your 2 month pics.... your nose looks really good! Looks like a lot of swelling has gone away since he last pics you had posted...? Tomorrow I will be 2 weeks post op. I got my splint off 6 days ago... I am not happy with my nose. I asked for a smaller nose and for it not to be too pointy... my new nose looks just as big or bigger than my old nose.... just in a different way. My old nose had a swoop on the bridge. My new nose has no swoop and looks like a triangle that points out. I don't think the shape would be bad but it's sooo big. The doc used cartilage from my ear and said he had to rebuild 1/3 of my nose because there wasn't enough cartilage left. I feel like I went from having one ugly nose to another. I am hoping I've got a lot of swelling that will be dissipating in the next couple of months giving my nose some improvements in its appearance but it's so big that even if the swelling goes down I think it's still goin go Ronnie too big for my petite face. I really don't want to have to have a third revision done but right now it's looking that way. The next time I get my nose worked on I guess i will have to travel for the doc because there are no good ones local to me. I didn't do enough research before jumping into this surgery. I actually jumped into getting my breast augmentation in August and then thought to myself why am I getting my boobs done when I'm more unhappy with my nose? So to justify going through with my boob job I hurried and scheduled a rhinoplasty revision too. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I don't feel like I have a botched nose I just feel like I chose an under qualified surgeon for the job. What a waste of time and money... o well I seem to live and learn the hard way a lot of times. As far as my fat transfer I am happy with that at this point. I feel like I'm losing the fat though and hope I don't keep losing more. I also hope I'll be able to smile again like I used to because right now I can barely smile at all. I am still wearing tape on my nose 24/7 right now to try and help with the swelling but I have to go back to work on Oct 10 and won't then I'll probably just tape at night. I go back to the doc again this Friday.
I meant to ask how you sleep at night... what position? Did you doc tell you that you need to sleep a certain way? I try my hardest to sleep on my back and keep my head and face straight but I keep turning my head and wanting to sleep on the side of my face. I don't know if that will have an affect on my fat transfer or not.
I'm sorry you're not happy with your revision, it certainly isn't something to rush into. May I ask who your doctor was? I do know that my nose got a lot smaller after 2 weeks. Its very hard to judge your final result at the 2 week mark. Hopefully when the swelling goes down, so will the size.

The smiling thing is totally normal. If you look at me smiling in my older photos, it looked ridiculous! That will get a lot better!

As far as night time, you should be fine sleeping on your face as long as you toss and turn evenly. I slept in my recliner for 3 weeks but because I am a side sleeper I still slept on my side. I just tried to not put to much pressure on one spot and I tried to switch from side to side. Now I sleep any way I want. Check with your doctor but I think at the 2-3 week mark its ok to sleep how you want. Please feel free to PM me if you want to talk more!
Your nose looks really good! Can you post an updated photo? I'd love to see your progress!
Sure!
2 month update and photos are up!

Bad side no more!! Day 9

Day 9, Saturday
I can happily say that everyday is getting a little bit better. The scab on my nose is healing nicely. I photo shopped that out of my pics so it's not distracting from my results. I still have a ton of swelling especially on the tip making it droop and more on my left side which is where i think most of the work was done. But I have complete faith this will all resolve with time. I had a lot done on one day and this is a revision so tons of swelling. I had my nose straightened, nostrils reduced and my tip taken in and defined to take out the square pointy look I had. I brought in photos of Amber Heard and asked for her nose. Lol.
So far I think Motykie nailed it. He really is an artist. As you can see my bad side now looks the same as my good side. I will finally be able to take pics without thinking about it! Very happy I went with Dr. Motykie!! Also the facial fat graphing helped balance out my profile and makes me feel so much younger. I can't wait to see how much better it all will look in a few weeks/ months!
So so happy!!!

I agree, it does look like Amber Heard's!!! I'm so happy for you. I also admire your bravery getting this done with toddlers in the house haha
Thanks! Yes it has been a challenge trying to stay away from their swinging arms. So scared they will hit me with a toy. But am glad to do it while they are too little to remember.
You look amazing! Making my appt today:)
Awesome, let me know if you have any questions. Other people have really helped me with this process.
Your nose looks amazing, was it open or closed rhinoplasty?
Thank you. Closed
