Had a lap band 3 years ago. Been waiting for this surgery. I met with 3 plastic surgeons before Dr. Chiu. In 20 minutes of meeting him. I knew he was the one I wanted to do my surgery. Ask Charlotte, probably the quickest signing on the dotted line she has ever had. He has the credentials but most of all he has the caring aspect for his patients. He explains everything and doesn't make you feel like you are rushing him or a number. I cant wait. My surgery is this week!

Hi, welcome aboard. Glad to hear you are excited, it is the secret to this marathon. Read my review, if they can make me look fab, then anything is possible. Think positively and look forward to the day with confidence, it is worth it physically and mentally. It is life changing. Go for it.

One week after surgery!

Well its done! No one can really express the pain you will be in. I was in a cloud for 2 days. I am good now. I have gotten my drain tubes removed. I am walking around in my home by myself. I have gone out with my walker and pajamas! I have no shame! :) I been following every order/request by my doctor. I am very swollen. They liposuctions 3 liters of fat. They removed a 15 inches by 15 inches of skin! Now just in healing and recovery stage. I am still getting another surgery. On December 1st. I will get my 2nd surgery, inner thigh surgery. I can't wait, well I can, I need to recoup some from this one.

That is so awesome! Congrats on the weight loss that led you to getting/needing these surgeries. I am just starting my process, and waiting to see if insurance will pick up any of the tab. *crossing my fingers* Keep on healing well!

Hi, sounds like a great result. Remember, your body has been through a great trauma and needs to catch up with your increased activity levels, so get plenty of rest. Please take plenty of photos of your marathon and reflect on them in the coming weeks to see how far you have come. It will be a great comfort and keep you sane. Post some photos so we can see your progress. Well done.

2 weeks after surgery!!

42yoGuy
Still healing. Doctor says everything going well. I walk on my own. I even went shopping last night! Still can not wear jeans or anything like that. I wear sweats to protect my incision. I am now preparing mentally for my next surgery on Monday. So far this surgery is a lot less pain (except for first week) than expected. My mental alertness is back. My swelling is gone. It traveled from my stomach area down to my feet. My shoes didn't fit when my feet were swollen. It didn't hurt just swollen. I still wear my brace around my stomach. I feel like I am healing like a perfect patient. Don't know what that is but I feel I am doing good and I feel good.

Hi, great to hear you are doing so well. Everyday gets better, so set yourself little tasks to achieve and feel confident as you are able to cross them off. Stay confident and think positive as it is as much a mental journey as well as a physical one. you sound as if you are still excited about your recovery, so keep it up, the best is yet to come.
