I am no stranger to procedures and always strive to look the best I can in the most natural way possible. I have had injectable treatment by Dr. Emer before and the experience and results exceeded my expecting. So when he recommended I try PRP (platelet rich plasma) combined with microneedling, I was nervous but trusted him. His staff set the stage, they were kind and professional. The procedure was very tolerable, maybe a 2 on a scale of 10. Dr. Emer made sure that I was numbed and he talked with me to help me feel at ease. I have to say right after I was pretty red. I actually left his office and boarded a flight, yes I get on a plane to see him! The best day I was better. He recommended a new product called TEOXANE post care cream which was amazing and then their home care serum. All I can say is I am now 2 weeks post and glowing. I will definitely do this again.

The photo is me the next day actually. I was able to safely apply my makeup so I did. The redness was improved in the 24 hours but not gone.

I got a lovely email from his patient coordinator today just to see how I was. Now that is impressive.
Dr. Emer is an expert and has the best bedside manner. Go see him!

Awesome, so glad you are happy with your results. I have to say, I was a little shocked you were able to apply make-up the very next day. How long was the numbing cream left on for prior to treatment?

Hi Eva! I had the numbing on for about a total of 45-60 minutes. I was prepared for that time so it was not like I felt like I was waiting. Also, I did bring a friend so she and had fun chatting and she actually spoke with Dr. Emer as well about liposculpting and she is having him perform her procedure next week.

I had one Epipen micro needling treatment and was told to wait a minimum of 48 hours before applying moisturizers or makeup. My face was red and I had to use Skin Medica's TNS Recovery complex twice a day for a week. My redness lasted 2 days, but I am very fair. I now am using Skin Medica'sTNS Essential Serum morning and night. I have to wait 4-6 weeks for my next treatment. I noticed the most improvement in my neck area, less in my face and cleavage area.

Did your face flake? I just went through my first dermapen treatment a few days ago and I'm going through this flakey stage.

My face did not flake at all.

Hi Alimer, Do u have fillers in the nasolabial folds? I have an interest in this and micro needling but I'm not sure which to do first. Do u know if micro needling can harm/move your fillers? Were u treating fine lines with the micro needling (if so did it help)? Did u experience any hyperpigmentation or noticed it help with hyperpigmentation. Many thx.

I think can answer this... I have fillers and micro needling does not harm them, as it only treats the surface of the skin and does not go deep.

Micro Needling does not harm the fillers but just make sure to give the fillers time to settle before scheduling your Needling appointment. So wait at least 7 days after having fillers.

MM007, Are u treating wrinkles? Has the Skin Medica TNS Essential Serum been helpful with wrinkles and hyperpigmentation? What was your experience with the micro needing? Did u experience any hyperpigmentation for your treatment? thx

Yes, treating wrinkles. Had to put Aquaphor on my skin as it got very dry and I couldn't put anything on it but warm water and the TNS serum twice a day for 48 hours after. So no soap,no moisturizer, make up etc. Not noticing any major effects with the TNS. I didn't have any hyperpigmentation, but my face is ALWAYS extremely red for 2 - 3 days after. So, I clear my calendar, stay home and wait it out. I am very fair skinned and never was a sun worshipper. The jury is still out about how much the micro needling has helped my skin. I think I see a little improvement in my neck . I had my face, neck, and decollete' done , 3 treatments so far, one more to go.....we'll see

My treatment was at a Rejuvenation Center run by my plastic surgeon BTW

Hi MM007, I have a micro-needling scheduled with Prp treatment. They are not injecting the Prp but coating the skin before they do the needling. I love to see a decrease in five wrinkles, especially around they eyes and mouth. Also would like to see s plumping of skin. Did you notice any of these things?
