I don't usually do reviews and I like to keep these kind of things private (only my very close family members know) but I'm sharing my experience as I feel I owe it to real self community for helping me to discover this procedure's existence! I never liked my lips and always wanted a lifted and fuller upper lip. I had filler injections for couple of times (1/2 syringe each time) and the last one was about a year ago) and although I liked the change I felt my upper lip looks hanging rather lifted.

As you can see in the photos there's no teeth shown when I'm not smiling or when I'm talking. I would like to improve this as well. Also my chin is small in comparison to the distance between my upper lip and nose.
Side note: I was never obsessed with whatever I mentioned and no body has ever told me my face isn't beautiful enough, I wouldn't want in any way encourage someone to go through this. When I found out about this procedure, I researched a lot and chose a doctor that does this a lot and is very skilled otherwise I wouldn't do it.

What type of LL does this PS do: subnasal or endonasal?
What is your lip length now, and what distance are you aiming for?

Thank you! He does bullhorn lip lift with his own modifications to make it more effective and better. My upper lip length if I measured it correctly is about 1.8 or so. He will do more accurate measurements on the day of surgery but I think he mentioned around 5 mm reduction. I don't mind a big change if it's a good change and I'll let him know. I trust him and I know he would know better what distance will match my face the most.

Thank you! If you go to Dr. Talei's website you can see some examples of his LLs and get more information on his work. The incision is barely visible on all of his works and the LL is skin reduction only. He also has done some beautiful revisions on patients with previous unsuccessful liplifts. I haven't seen a bad review on his work and my gut feeling tells me that he's really good! (My gut feeling has never failed me lol). I hope I was able to answer all your questions .

First of all, I want to update this review and Dr. Talei's rating but apparently RealSelf doesn't give you the option to change the rating on the same review . I will create another account to thank Dr. Talei for the awesome job he did. (I know this is just the first day but I'm sure the outcome will be amazing and I will post more pictures in the process of healing).
These pictures were taken half an hour after procedure. I had a small rasping job on my nose which I believe has caused more swallowing of my nostrils and upper mouth but it is not that bad at all.

Thank you, rasping of the nose keystone is filing and making it smoother if the bumps are minor and small. I had a past rhinoplasty and my nose had some small uneven bumps. It's done through the nose internally.

Thank you, what I had on my nose is called rasping which includes shaving the excess bone from a bump on the nose. Depending on the shape and condition of the nose, it is mostly done after a primary rhinoplasty if the result is not smooth enough. I had a rhinoplasty couple of years ago with another doctor and had some small bumps. I believe all of his lip lifts are modified since he adds his own techniques to it.

How many mm did he take off and what was your original upper lip lift distance, according to the doctor?

My original was around 2 cm and he took at least 5mm off probably a little more.
