Coming from someone who’s afraid of simple bloodwork I’m surprised to report that my surgery was truly a positive experience! Dr. Moelleken radiates humble confidence, in a way that puts you at ease and makes you feel like everything will be just fine. His surgical coordinator, Penny, is such an amazing person, and everyone else on his team is wonderful as well. I wasn’t nervous or scared, I trusted him completely, and he exceeded my expectations. I sincerely hope EVERYONE can share my experience before, during and after surgery! As an out-of-town patient, I had to invest a bit more and plan for my absence, but it was well worth it! I’m glad my children didn’t see me right after surgery, and having a week alone with my husband in a hotel Penny recommended was actually a fun, bonding experience. My surgery was short, incision super low, drain came out quickly, I got off of pain meds asap, never needed any sleeping pills or other medications, had no issues or complications, swelling wasn’t too bad and it’s pretty much gone now. Dr. Moelleken is very responsive and great at follow up, and everything I’ve seen so far reassures me that I’ve made a right choice. I’m SO glad I had this procedure and I highly recommend my doctor!

Did they do any Lipo?
Yes, he did lipo on my flanks and butt (close to hip area). In my before photo you will see a little "spill" over my shorts, now I no longer have that :)
You look awesome! I'm having modified TT in February. Did you get a new belly button also?
Good luck with your TT! Thank you so much! My BB was revised and hernia repaired - makes a huge difference.
I had a partial high-tension tummy tuck because I didn't want lipo. Would that be considered a hybrid tummy tuck?
Hi, hope you are happy with your results! Hybrid tummy tuck is Dr. Moelleken's signature procedure, described on his website: "The Hybrid Abdominoplasty™ or the Hybrid Tummy Tuck™ is a short incision procedure that tightens the entire abdominal fascia. It differs from a traditional tummy tuck in that the incision is very short, approximately the same as for a C-section, rather than a hip-to-hip incision. It is most appropriate for women who are in excellent shape after they have children but are left with a remaining bulge on their abdomen. The Hybrid Tummy Tuck™ is a new method that offers the maximum benefit for patients who are seeking upper abdominal tightening with a minimal or “mini-tummy tuck” type of incision." Hope that helps :)
Your pre surgery story is just like mine! Similar tummy too ;) I hope you will continue to update as it has been difficult to find examples with women who have the same conditions I do and similar proportions. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you, all the best to you as well! I'm so glad you can relate, I felt the same way, and that's why I wanted to share my example :)
Hello!U look amazing!!I started looking into tummy tucks,am glad I saw ur review.Just one question, did u fly home or drove after that one week? Thanks for sharing.x
I had an 8 hour drive which was split in 2 days. Post-op, we stayed in a hotel with a full kitchen and driving made it easier to bring some of my favorite kitchen supplies. Thank you for the compliment :)
Looking beautiful:)
Thank you for your kind words and reaching out, I appreciate the support :)

I have 2 children, 8 and 10 years old. I eat clean and exercise consistently. Prior to my surgery, I was a fit mom, overall healthy and strong, but healthy lifestyle could not correct several issues caused by multiple pregnancies - umbilical hernia, diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdominis muscle) and loose skin.

I’ve done a lot of research to determine if tummy tuck was right for me, and it wasn’t until I found Dr. Moelleken that I finally had my a-ha moment! Rather than offering just the standard mini vs full tummy tuck procedures, he offers a hybrid tummy tuck which can then be further modified to fit each individual’s needs and goals. After our initial consultation, I felt confident Dr. Moelleken can give me the results I wanted and I was right!

I’m posting 2 before photos: 1) frontal view showing loose skin & 2) side view showing a bulge due to abdominal muscle separation which always made me look like I was bloated or pregnant. Next, I’m posting a picture 5 days post-op, right after the drain removal and the change is already visible and drastic. Final photo was taken 4 weeks post-op, most of my swelling is gone and incision is healing beautifully.

Thank you! Pics are up :)
You look awesome! Don't you feel so much better? I'm only 16 days post op and not even close to my final result, but I couldn't be happier!
Congratulations, glad to hear you are happy! Yes, I feel way better in so many ways. Wishing you fast & easy recovery!
Thanks so much, you too!
Hi, You look amazing!! Can you tell me about how many inches your scar is? Thank you so much for sharing your story. ;)
I have also been looking into this doctor for the exact surgery! Can you please post some recent after photos? Your post op photos look good from what I can tell! Are you still happy with your results?
