I have 2 children, 8 and 10 years old. I eat clean and exercise consistently. Prior to my surgery, I was a fit mom, overall healthy and strong, but healthy lifestyle could not correct several issues caused by multiple pregnancies - umbilical hernia, diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdominis muscle) and loose skin.
I’ve done a lot of research to determine if tummy tuck was right for me, and it wasn’t until I found Dr. Moelleken that I finally had my a-ha moment! Rather than offering just the standard mini vs full tummy tuck procedures, he offers a hybrid tummy tuck which can then be further modified to fit each individual’s needs and goals. After our initial consultation, I felt confident Dr. Moelleken can give me the results I wanted and I was right!
I’m posting 2 before photos: 1) frontal view showing loose skin & 2) side view showing a bulge due to abdominal muscle separation which always made me look like I was bloated or pregnant. Next, I’m posting a picture 5 days post-op, right after the drain removal and the change is already visible and drastic. Final photo was taken 4 weeks post-op, most of my swelling is gone and incision is healing beautifully.

Did they do any Lipo?
September 24, 2014
Yes, he did lipo on my flanks and butt (close to hip area). In my before photo you will see a little "spill" over my shorts, now I no longer have that :)

You look awesome! I'm having modified TT in February. Did you get a new belly button also?

Good luck with your TT! Thank you so much! My BB was revised and hernia repaired - makes a huge difference.

I had a partial high-tension tummy tuck because I didn't want lipo. Would that be considered a hybrid tummy tuck?

Hi, hope you are happy with your results! Hybrid tummy tuck is Dr. Moelleken's signature procedure, described on his website: "The Hybrid Abdominoplasty™ or the Hybrid Tummy Tuck™ is a short incision procedure that tightens the entire abdominal fascia. It differs from a traditional tummy tuck in that the incision is very short, approximately the same as for a C-section, rather than a hip-to-hip incision. It is most appropriate for women who are in excellent shape after they have children but are left with a remaining bulge on their abdomen. The Hybrid Tummy Tuck™ is a new method that offers the maximum benefit for patients who are seeking upper abdominal tightening with a minimal or “mini-tummy tuck” type of incision." Hope that helps :)

Your pre surgery story is just like mine! Similar tummy too ;) I hope you will continue to update as it has been difficult to find examples with women who have the same conditions I do and similar proportions. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you, all the best to you as well! I'm so glad you can relate, I felt the same way, and that's why I wanted to share my example :)

I had an 8 hour drive which was split in 2 days. Post-op, we stayed in a hotel with a full kitchen and driving made it easier to bring some of my favorite kitchen supplies. Thank you for the compliment :)
