My review comes from the perspective of a thank...
"Dear Dr. Talei: I was scrolling through your page today and saw the photo's you posted from my last visit. I again reminded me of how deeply appreciative I am of you and your skills. Having the ability to help others is something I personally understand both from my previous EMS Helicopter Pilot career and more recently my struggles with self image. My career was WHO I was and defined my life till I was injured. I am no one special. Now through the gifts you gave to me through your services I can see another who doesn't have a job but a calling. I am certain you have quietly thought of this and readily discern the differences and distinction between the two. I am quite literally in tears writing this knowing there are not that many people I have met in life who really cared but I know you are one of the few who truly does. I have such great respect and admiration for you and also your staff and want you to know that I consider you far beyond someone who helped me. You are a friend. While our lives are distant in miles, it lightens my heart to know you are out there helping so many others as you did me. Some may see it as mere vanity. How ever to a recipiant of your expertise and caring ministrations, you most definately are one who has the ability to dramatically add to the quality of ones life. It is a great feeling to have experienced both sides of the same coin regarding to helping and being helped by others. In closing, I will say Dr Talei is and will continue to be my first recommendation for facial cosmetic surgery. His manner is very easy going and I have to draw comparisons with other Doctors in their approach. Others tell you what you need, he asks and listens then responds to ones thoughts and goals. In the area he is located in there are more than dozens of surgeons. I suppose saying I would do the same thing again is the best praise I can give.

My initial consultation was via skype and shortly there after I juggled the triad of travel, accomodations and the surgery date. Doctor Talei was most accomodating scheduling wise. His staff smoothly integrated a rather time consuming procedure his already very busy schedule. To me a very important thing often over looked is finding a Doctor that will first listen, then examine a patient, consider the paitents needs with their goals and offer what can be expected. As this was revision surgery, I have had experience with the force feed mentality of a number of other surgeons I interviewed prior to Dr Talei. I live in an area where there are hundreds of choices within a 200 mile radius, yet chose to hop on a plane and go out to California from Florida. I am most pleased I did... My down time was short. hat was important to me as I am very active in cycling and followed the Doctors recommendations exactly. I was back home in less than a week and a half with minimal bruising and little to no swelling and remarkably just a slight discomfort that could not really be called pain. It was a snap negotiating the flights home even after such a short time. Thanks to Dr Talei and all the staff there. You are all part of a very fine practice.
