I had been considering otoplasty for quite some time to correct my overly large "dumbo" ears, and after doing a ridiculous amount of research, decided to take the plunge. During my search for potential surgeons, all reviews and indications kept leading me back to Dr.Rahban, so I decided to book a consult. From the beginning of the consult, I was sure I had found a great doctor, as he was very down to earth, clear, and concise, and gave me all of the facts, which left me feeling confident and comfortable. The surgery itself was simple and painless. I was put out, and after seemingly no time at all, it was done. After the surgery, he gave me very clear instructions for every step of the way, and never left me feeling unsure of what to do next. After removing the sutures (10 days post-op), I was finally able to see the result, and it was better than I ever could have expected. Dr.Rahban truly has a passion for his work, and you can see it in my result.

Hmm, I actually think your ears look better in the before picture. Maybe it's a trick of the camera and they were bigger in person?
In the after picture the tops of the ears stick out too much. But if you like them better this way, then that's all that matters!

Yes, because it looks more natural than just the tops of the ears to stick out like in the after picture.

That photo doesn't quite do it justice- my ears previously stuck out quite a bit. In fact, Dr. R commented that they were some of the largest he's seen, haha. Now 4 months post-op, I am still super pleased with the result.

I know sometimes when I take a pic with my phone the ears look a lot smaller than in real life, so that's probably what happened here.

Really great results -- your ears look perfect and totally natural. I had this procedure done a year ago and it's amazing what a positive difference it cam make in your life. Congrats!
Great results, thank you for sharing. How long did you surgery take, and what method was used? How was your recovery, did you experience much pain?
