Important Correction!
WORTH IT
All of the question marks in my review are because I put specific emoji's in there and now I see that Real Self's techie guy doesn't recognize my emoji's so I end up looking like an indecisive idiot stating one thing then looking bi-polar with the multiple question marks! And unfortunately they won't let me go back and edit it out! It's very exasperating that they would choose to put in question marks verses just putting in nothing.
Regardless ~ I hope I was able to be of some help to all of you beautiful ladies and gentlemen. I'll try again to post pics today!
ORIGINAL POST
I genuinely appreciate all of the beautiful women...
I genuinely appreciate all of the beautiful women on this site that gave of their time and revealed private and very personal photos for the sake of women like me who obsessively researched and explored the novel idea of getting a Lip Lift done.
I had literally never known such a thing could existed and I feel that I'm pretty well educated in the aesthetic arena being that I am an Aesthetician. But I always knew that I did not like how long my face was, I just didn't realize such a procedure existed that could literally shorten my face so dramatically!
Enter Dr. Talei! ????
So I labored hard on which PS was the absolute, undeniably BEST, most qualified...and who's artistic appeal mirrored my preferences so that I knew we were on the same page in regards to my aesthetic desires.
Keep in mind ~ I was willing to fly anywhere!
At the end of the day ~ Dr. Talei ended up being "The One" to go to for this particular procedure!
It's imperative that women understand how one millimeter off can ultimately ruin a perfect outcome so you must never settle or compromise when it comes to your face or Plastic Surgeon.
So my thorough and relentless research led me to Dr. Talei! Absolute God ~ send!
??????
His office in Bev Hills is basically equivalent to an art museum with high tech equipment everywhere. Immaculate and O.C.D clean throughout - it was above and beyond what I expected.
The moment I met Dr. Talei ~ I felt instantly at ease. He did not have one ounce of an air of superiority about him ~ he was actually very laid back, down to earth and quite handsome!
I liked him instantly and I felt great chemistry with him within minutes of being in his presence.
The procedure ~ I will not lie to any of you. ????
The numbing shots hurt. But as soon as they were felt - he was done. Yet it was enough to make my eyes water. And I did bruise subtly around my jawline and this was from those shots I believe. When evaluating my philtrum - he stated he thought he should take 7.5 off but I felt like it wasn't quite enough so he compromised (thank God) and he took 8 mm off. He's exceptionally good eyeballing you - he'll tell you the measurements off the top of his head and then he'll measure it with his tool = and be DEAD ON! ????
I was elated that he agreed to 8 mm because I know my face and what I like and I knew that I needed that much off and I would not be okay if I had gone to a different surgeon and he was super conservative! I've read endless reviews where girls have had to do revision after revision because their PS was tooooo conservative!
I told Dr. Talei ~ I want to be One & Done!
So I am very grateful and relieved that he actually got it right THE FIRST TIME!
Thank God! ????
So after the very short lived procedure, which was quite entertaining as he kept me amused the entire time all the while putting in work... it was over within 20-30 minutes and throughout - no pain.
But as soon as it ended.... here came the pain! But I was tough. I stuck to my guns. And I did NOT take one pain pill. Nothing!
AND I drove home. And it took me 5.5 hours because of the Cali traffic!
I remember I stopped at Panera and I used the surgical mask (thank God) Dr.Talei gave me one and I got a turkey croissant and I could barely open my mouth to bite into it.
When I finally got home ~ I applied medi honey and I used my Red Light Therapy machine to help with the swelling. I didn't start icing until the next day and it made a huge difference!
4 days later ~ I was back in Dr. Talei's office to remove the stitches! He was so wonderful to take mine out then cuz I didn't want to leave them in too long! I think he may have even come in on his day off! One thing I will say is that every time I texted him ~ he always responded immediately and when I needed to get in to see him - he always fit me in!
That's so crucial that you have a PS that continues to make you a priority regardless of it being before the procedure OR after.
I'm going for my follow up with him this upcoming Monday. I have a laundry list of questions for him and I'm hoping he'll give me steroid shots! ????
Right now I am almost 4 weeks out.
My upper lip is still swollen as well as my philtrum and my nose a bit.
The only uncomfortable part is the philtrum.
It's stiff and very hard to the touch. My Cupid's bow is much prettier, I just wish my swelling would go down like yesterday! My incision is healing - it's not entirely gone yet but I am using this great scar gel called Biocorneum. The area around my incision is still red but hopefully that will diminish soon!
I just want my upper lip to diminish in swelling and for me to be able to smile!
Right now my smile is still tight, restricted and I look like a chipmunk when I smile. Hopefully that will disappear soon!
I'll keep you posted on my outcome and as it evolves... God bless all of you Angels... ????

You're amazing and so so sweet. So happy I get to see you soon. And so fortunate you allowed me into your life !
Hi Dr. Talei ~
I hope you read my update!
It explains the annoying question marks in my review. My sister and I can't wait to see you tomorrow!!! She is going to write her separate review of her experience with you as we are both very happy and excited for our final outcome!
You truly are God ~ send and we appreciate your warmth, generosity, integrity and superior skills more than we can ever express...
Once our Lip Lift is all healed up ~ we are going to look into doing the Profound. I just wish we lived closer to your surgery center....my goodness we'd be there every day!
Omg. Loved reading your journey. So happy that you found your gem in Dr. Talei. It is an amazing surgery delivering spectacular results. Funny how a l-o-n-g philtrum can make a face look "off". I didn't notice any before or after pix?! I also had this procedure 3 months ago, and am extremely happy with my new balance to my face. Looking forward to reading your updates. Good healing vibes. You can see my profile on Realself
Wow! I actually read your review several times ironically before I did my Lip Lift with Dr.Talei!
I loved all of your pictures as well!
I am am trying to download pic's now.
Thank you for your kind words and healing vibes!
May I ask you if you can smile fully with no restriction yet? And is your philtrum softened up now?
Thank you and God bless you!
My smile is perfect now with no restrictions and some nice teeth show. My philtrum is back is it's normal soft pliable self;-). I'm in awe with my new shorter philtrum and the amazing balance it brought to my face.
May I ask how many months out are you?????
I'm out now three month exactly. Did you view my last 3 month updated pic? I'm very happy, though there have been a couple of people who didn't like my "painted on lip "???!!
Great review!!
Thank you very much Beauty!
God bless you!
Well from everything I hear, Dr Talei is the go to surgeon for lip lips in Beverly Hills now. I have a friend who works in another plastic surgeons office and her doctor does not do lip lips but says his are the best compared to others seen. And he's been in practice for years. So you did your research!!
I meant her doctor has been in practice for years.
Yes and the quality of work is everything because it's futile to do it and have your lip fall or philtrum elongate years later and Dr.Talei's modified Lip Lift prevents that and excessive nasal distortion.
I had a Rhinoplasty and my nose didn't swell nearly as much as I anticipated it would ~ Thank God!
Dr. Talei is unequivocally THE Best!!!

Dr. Talei is unequivocally THE Best!!!
I also had a rhino and I feel that my nose is a tad bit off since m lip lift. :-(.
I would love to see your pics! I'm considering Dr. Talei
I'm glad you are happy with your results.. I was thinking about getting a lip lift with doctor Talei until they quoted me 6500 for a lip lift. that is more than double the going price for lip lifts so I will go somewhere else..
