I will update this review when I receive the OR report. My doctor said my surgery was one of his top five most complicated cases. I exchanged high profile 400 cc saline for moderate profile 500 cc silicone. Nipple was resized, mastopexy performed, extensive muscle repair, and scar tissue removed. I underwent a dual plane augmentation (there are different levels, I will find out more specifics).

Bruising was minimal, but I am very sore. Surgery was four and a half hours performed at their facilities. I have drainage tubes which come out tomorrow but I am required to wear the surgical bra for another few weeks (I think). However, I am ecstatic with the results because they look real, they look fabulous, and they look real fabulous!

I had initially chosen high profile silicone at 450 ccs but I told the doctor I would defer to his eye and expertise. I think he did right by me. He said high profile would not have looked as pleasing to the eye. What's funny is I went home thinking he went high profile, and that night I was surfing the net looking at before and after shots, thinking to myself, I sure wish I went with moderate. My boyfriend knew the whole time the PS had chosen that method, but thought he'd let the doctor surprise me. Needless to say, I was surprised but very pleased!

As you can see from the before photo, my right breast had folded over. It is a different size and shape from the left one! It had slowly been going that route for years. Wearing clothes became quite awkward! The previous PS severed a nerve, thus I have no sensation in the right nipple. With this in mind, my current PS was careful not to damage the nerve in the left nipple and as far as I know it is intact.

We looked through many of his after photos so he could get an idea of what I had in mind. I specified that I wanted my breasts to have a beautiful, natural slope, and I think that goal was achieved. I do not like that bolt on look and at my age I thought it would look even more ridiculous. So far, so good! Also, the feeling and look of silicone is far superior to saline! So natural! If I could do it again, I would have never gone for the latter.

As for diet, I was instructed to eat whatever I wanted. The body uses those extra calories to heal (and you can google this data online). Percocets give me pot-like munchies so I've been eating stuff I normally wouldn't eat (fried chicken, biscuits, pies, etc LOL). I have not had issues with constipation or nausea. I steer cleer of caffeine though because it doesn't mix well with painkillers and makes me unpleasantly tweaky.

So far, the prescriptions I'm taking: 5 mg Percocet, Valium (for muscle spasms), Ambien (for sleep but the Valium knocks me out so I skip these), antibiotics, and Singulair for help in minimizing capsular contraction (studies aren't conclusive but I will take all the help I can get). My PS is keeping me under close observation as we meet twice a week so he can monitor my progress.

Now, for personal stats: 5'4, 140, 36-28-37. I plan on losing 10 lbs which will put my waist back at 27 but the doctor advised me not to lose too much weight. He says I'm fine just the way I am and women my age (42) need some fat! So if a triple board certified surgeon says I look good at this weight, I will take his word over anyone else's!

I will keep you updated.
