I am fifty-one, healthy and fit. I decided to have my 10 year old breast implants removed. I wanted natural looking and feeling breasts. I am prone to keloid scarring and did not want a lift, so I opted to do some fat-grafting to allow Dr. Killeen another tool to improve the appearance of my breasts once the implants were removed. I am naturally a full A cup. Dr. Killeen added 70 cc's of fat to the sides of each breast, which I am told is an extremely modest amount - I make this point because I think even a modest amount can make a very big difference in outcome. My breasts are perhaps a small B cup, there is some natural sagging, but the result is very pretty, soft, and natural. I am beyond thrilled with the outcome (as is my supportive husband). One of the best decisions I have made regarding my body. Dr. Killeen is extremely professional yet equally warm. As mentioned, I am prone to keloid scarring, my breast implant surgery required two scar revisions, as did other scars; c-section, etc. I am now one month post-op. Due to Dr. Killeen's skill and gentle work, my swelling is gone, I had very little bruising, and amazingly, the scars are flat, white instead of red, and already beginning to disappear - never had that happen before, even after two years. In addition, Dr. Killeen's aesthetic is excellent - she was able to translate what I requested into the results I desired. I am so happy that I chose to work with her, and I would do so again. The procedure was expensive, but worth every penny, especially since she got it right the first time.

I am considering this doctor as well for my explant but she is expensive but as you said, I only want this done once. Are you still happy with your result now 6 months later? Did you need a lift as well along with your fat transfer? Did you have all of your capsule removed and did she also repair your pec muscle? I am 40 years old and a personal trainer. My implants are 13 years old and I don't want to worry about repeat surgeries. How long was your recovery and when could you resume exercising? Sorry for all of the questions!

I had the exact same questions as you! I have a phone consult with Dr Killeen on Monday, because I live in another state. I've been told by a local surgeon to explant and see how my breasts look in 6 months, because the fat grafting can be too traumatic with an implant removal and the fat doesn't "take" as well. He said can't repair the muscle because there is nothing to adhere the muscle to on the rib, but will just heal to the chest wall. I'm trying to be patient but I'm so ready to have these bags off my chest! 4.5 years with them and I can't workout like I used to and I'm ready to be me again. I'm curious about the lipo part too, because I was told by the local PS I don't have much fat to take, but I've seen pics on here of other women who are leaner than me, and they had great results! But it was a doctor in North Carolina that did it.
