So I have wanted double eyelid surgery for some time now, and I've just been getting by using tape. My procedure is booked for Dec 12 in 2.5 weeks! I want a medium/big? crease, and Dr. Lee says it would go well with my eyes. I am extremely nervous for the outcome of this procedure and especially the recovery period/process. I'm just nervous that it will look worse than when I have tape on, but most likely it should look better... My recovery time also makes me very anxious due to the fact that I want larger creases (than average) so their will be more swelling involved than just getting a small crease. I do not want to be super swollen and really strange looking for two months straight! Right now, I naturally only have a small half of a crease starting from the middle of my eyes to the outer corners.

Hi jaydee, yes there is always a risk of course. Some people heal within a few weeks! However some take a long time like myself.. I'm 3 months post and it is looking better as the weeks go by, but yeah it could take months and months like mine.. But it's not bad as long as it get to the point you want right?? The issues to be concerned about is if bad ptosis occurs or eyes are very uneven or one is dropping, etc.. But if you choose your surgeon right then things should go ok

I'm almost to my 3 month post and My eyes looked great already at one month. I know that it'll take 4-6 months to start seeing the actual turnout. So....now I'm afraid that my lids will come down even more:( I hope it doesn't, but I'd rather suffer the first few months of a huge swollen crease rather enjoy mine now and not later:(
