I was sick of looking tired/bored/stoned due to my droopy monolids. But I didn't want to end up looking like an Asian cartoon caricature with a way-overdone high crease. I am happy with my results from Dr. Lee because they do look natural. I just wish a bit more could have been done to counteract the brow drop, which left my eyelids a tad more 'hooded' than I would have preferred.
The procedure itself was fine. It was done under twilight sedation, which I tolerated fine. The healing process was quicker than I expected, though the first few days immediately after were more painful than I'd predicted, but manageable.

Such a beautiful result! What was your crease height?

Hmmm good question Suzulu! I actually am not sure. I don't think my PS ever told me like a specific mm height or anything. I think he just based it off his personal experience and my request for a "natural look."

Wow your results look great! How did you choose Dr. Lee? What other doctors were you considering? Did you consider a browlift as well or just the eyelid surgery?

Hi there. No brow lift, just the eyelids. I chose Dr. Lee after doing extensive research on the doctor's available in the southern california area. He had really good reviews and a lot of them. I definitely wanted to go with someone who specialized specifically in this procedure, rather than a more general plastic surgeon that does a bunch of other procedures too. While Dr. Lee does offer other procedures, eyelid surgery is definitely his 'thing.' He is also super active on the RS forums/ q&A, which I really liked. It shows that he cares to take the time to help people, even when they're not his patients. So he's clearly very experienced, knowledgable, and caring. Everything I wanted in my PS. At my consultation appointment, I wouldn't say he's the most warm person I've ever met, but he was super respectful, answered all my questions, and I didn't feel rushed. At the end of the day, I wasn't looking for a buddy to get a beer with, so it didn't bother me. I've never regretted going with him as my surgeon and would make the same choice if I had to do it all over again.

Oh, one last thing I'll add: I did experience some 'brow drop' after the procedure (which is normal), that left my eyelids just a *tad* more hooded than I would have preferred. I don't know much about the brow lift procedure, nor if I was even a candidate for it. I think probably due to my age, it never came up. Since I didn't have a loose/saggy to begin with, having a pre-emptive brow lift to try to counteract the brow drop would have been massive overkill and would have looked unnatural.

Congrats, your our results are great! it looks like you also had medial epicanthoplasty or removal of skin from the inner corners, I was wondering if you had scars??
The "rested and perkier" comment is the ultimate! They can't quite tell you had something done yet you somehow look better! ;) Is it more fun to wear a bit of make up now too? I'm very happy for you!
Oh I love hearing what a difference this surgery made for you. Good point about those tutorials mentioning crease and lid! Glad you can now follow along! ;)
