Let me tell you. This doctor is the real deal. I had rhinoplasty with Dr. Ghavami two weeks ago. I am already thrilled with the results and I know as the swelling goes down it's just going to reveal itself even more beautifully. His staff is so responsive, so kind, so knowledgable. They all always answered all my questions, no matter what. They went above and BEYOND to make me feel cared for and safe. MAJOR shout outs to Rose and Aman! Dr. Ghavami himself- what can I say- is a BRILLIANT, METICULOUS and ARTISTIC surgeon. Truly. He answered every question I had no matter how neurotic I felt. He literally looked at my face and knew what to do. I am Caucasian, had a broad nose with a boxy tip and it projected a little far off my face- two weeks later, I have a nose that is so much cuter, more refined and feminine, while still looking JUST LIKE ME! I really really was scared to have this procedure done. I didn't want to look "done" and I really wanted to maintain my unique identity and look. Well- Dr. Ghavami delivered- he must be psychic cause he did EXACTLY what I was picturing. No more, no less. I also have to mention the recovery process- while it was surgery and therefore pretty crappy anesthesia kinda sucks), there was so little pain. It must be his technique, because I was so NOT in pain. The anesthesiologist he works with was also amazing. She called me the night before AND the night after and really made sure to take care of me. I can't wait to see how my nose evolves and reveals itself over the next few months. I can already tell he knocked it I out of the park. Don't go to anyone else. Yeah, sometimes it's a bit of a wait- I'd rather have a doctor who is so busy because he's at the top of his game- then sit in an empty waiting room for a doctor with no patients. The point is the RESULT and having a responsible doctor who makes sure your health comes first, right? Spend the money, do the research, choose the best. As a side note- I just returned to work today for the first time and was a little self conscious for people to see me for the first time. Well lo and behold not one person knew. NOT ONE DAMN PERSON!! Just goes to show you it looks so natural and belongs on my face! Dr G told me that would probably happen and *shocker* he was right!! Can't wait for this beautiful nose to get even better. Thank you Dr G and everyone at the practice! Patient for life!

This review holds no value unless pictures are present. Before and after is what will make people believe but posting a one post review especially after a bad review came out for this doctor is not going to help.

agreed...photos do make a review more credible

Well it's only been 3 weeks - I can tell that it's amazing. let's wait a little while so you can see a finished product. I'm not gonna show you a work in progress.

No people post their before, after, and their progress. No review is worth reading or taking seriously unless you can see its a real person. I am sure everyone would love to see you in the cast, swelling, how long it took for it to go down, how swelling is coming down, etc. Your finished product is not going to be finished until at least 1 year. You cannot know for sure that its a nose you will love at 3 weeks you have so much swelling at this point. I don't understand how anyone can rate a doctor at 3 weeks post op. My symmetry problems from my primary didn't show up until 3 months post op as the swelling was masking it. So please post before, during, and after pictures so we can all see how wonderful your results are.

No thank you. You can choose to see this doctor or not. I personally had a wonderful experience with him. But beyond my review I really don't want to get too involved with this website. Thank you and hope you all choose the best doctor for you.

So you are going to rate an unfinished work in progress as "Worth It"? Kinda irresponsible. I don't get why there are people who rate it as worth it so soon, when you don't really know. BTW- I agree with other posters, it is the progress after the procedure that people find most helpful because they like to gauge what is normal throughout the healing timeline. I don't have photos because mine was botched and an embarrassment, but I still send privately for those who ask. If you are happy, show just your nose before and after. A lot of us have been on here a while and can take into consideration that it is a "work in progress", but don't rate worth it when you don't think you are healed up and have a final result. Just doesn't make sense.

3 weeks post op Ghavami visit

justalady2
Just wanted to post an update on my progress. Saw the doctor today- was having some irritation in my nostrils - way up there. So I called and Aman (his amazing nurse) fit me right in. Turns out I'm healing just great. It's just normal dryness after rhino- and the nerves finding themselves again. (It tingles!!)

He said I still have a bunch of swelling and that my tip will probably be about half the size when all is said and done. That made me laugh with glee! Honestly I am so happy with the result right now as it is a vast improvement over my first nose- that I can't picture it in the future. But I'm very excited. Breathing is still a little hard through my nostrils because of the internal swelling- hearing him say it was totally normal definitely put me at ease. Recovery from a nose job is definitely not a joke- you have to be patient and diligent with your aftercare. I was very diligent with my pre-op care (I quit smoking 2 months prior, I stopped all the meds/vitamins that he told me to stop). I was and continue to be extremely careful and responsible about my aftercare. It's definitely uncomfortable at times -and it can be a chore to tape and clean the stickiness off every morning. Puts a little extra time in my routine. But it's nothing that I can't handle. One of the things that I take away from this experience that I perhaps didn't quite understand at first was how important it is as the patient to listen to all the things the doctor says and do them. He did his absolute best work in the OR- but when he sent me on my recovery path- it was up to ME to make sure I took care of my nose and body in the proper way. That said, he and his staff are always available to help me in any way.

Anyways- hope this helps! I'll post more after the next visit in 6 weeks. He will probably take some post op pictures and when he sends me them, I will crop my face out so you can see just my nose before and after. I want to stay anonymous on this website because I'm not into my face being on a plastic surgery website-a) because I am an actor, and b) because I am allowed that fundamental right as a person. But I just feel so great about my choice to go with Dr G- that I have to just give props where props are due. :) I was in the waiting room making an appointment and two girls were in there- one who he had operated on and she looked awesome but had a different personal experience with swelling - and another who was a perspective patient who inspected my nose (with my permission of course!) and was like "DAMN GIRL your nose looks so good! 3 weeks post op??" I reserve the right to brag because I paid for it. I take zero credit for my face! That's all Ghavami.

Ps- I should say that everyone has a different swelling timeline. My face for various reasons including the fact that I am Caucasian and have very fair, thin skin - apparently heals pretty quickly. Rest assured that I am not exactly the norm- many people have to wait months to see their nose reveal itself - it's just different strokes for different noses. So be patient!
