I recently saw Dr. Jason Emer to address persistent dark circles under my eyes. After an injury the dark circles just never went away and people were always telling me to get more sleep or asking if I was hit in the face. Dr. Emer knew right away how to treat this problem area and expertly used the CO2 laser to smooth Crow's Feet and address the circles.
The healing process is a little more intense than a Fraxel-type laser, but it wasn't painful. Scabbing and flaking were minimal and gone by the 5th day. I've been really impressed with what's left behind; fresh skin, smooth, and and no hint of dark circles.

Dr. Emer is a fantastic practitioner. As an expert in the use of the lasers for facial rejuvenation (I checked his educational background!) you immediately feel comfortable with both him and his treatment plan. During the procedure, he's empathetic to any discomfort and works to minimize that to the greatest extent possible. He definitely makes you feel like the world's most important patient when you're receiving your treatment, taking as much time as required and answering any and all questions you might have. I would return for future treatments in a heartbeat.
