I am 42 years old and have been obese for most of my life. My highest weight was 325 lbs. I had diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure and joint pains. I had to get my weight under control. I underwent roux-en-y gastric bypass and lost 163 pounds. I felt great, no longer taking the daily medications. Even though, I felt healthier, I was left with a massive amount of excess skin. I was embarrassed to wear form fitting clothes and would never go to the beach. I practically lived in shape wear to hold everything in. I was looking for a plastic surgeon who specializes in massive weight loss patients and found Dr. Katzen. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at his office to find so many before and after pictures of his patients. His waiting room was full of his patients sharing stories just like mine. After meeting him in consultation, I knew this was the right decision for me. I had a lower body lift and he removed 14 pounds from my abdomen. I cannot wait to buy my first bathing suit and hitting the beach this summer.

When I met Dr. Katzen in person, I felt a sense of security. He makes me feel calm and at ease. He takes his time to answer my questions and not once did I feel rushed.
