1.5 Years Post!
You guys, I cannot express to you how happy I am with my result. It is PERFECT. It fits my face so completely naturally. It's small but not too small. I have a cousin with a little perfect nose, and without even knowing, Ghavami got mine to look just like hers. He just understands facial aesthetics that well. Literally nobody around me has noticed. My mom forgot what I looked like before I got the rhinoplasty until I held up an old photo next to my face at Christmas. I look normal and better.
It took me longer than most to see my final result. I still had swelling at 6 months, and was having on/off days at 8-10 months. I didn't have a completely good week until almost a full year post-op. I took arnica regularly, slept upright, did everything instructed, I think I just heal slowly. The swelling moved downward and my tip dropped to a normal spot over time, as expected.
I've always had this vision of what I look like in my head, and was always thrown off in pictures that my nose didn't fit that vision. It was weird and pissed me off. My old nose stopped me from getting acting jobs, from getting matches on Tinder, from getting approached in bars, and from ever considering myself "hot". All of that vanished after fixing my nose. That was the missing piece. I feel dumb for waiting as long as I did, but so completely thankful to Dr. Ghavami for his work. Totally life changing. I look like I've always pictured I look. Simple as that.
To anybody considering him, yes, he's one of the most expensive out there. I'm a starving artist and I saved up for three years. This is your FACE. DO NOT GO TO A SURGEON THAT DOES NOT SHOW YOU THE FRONT-FACING PHOTO OF THEIR NOSE JOBS. If you can't see the front view, it's probably asymmetric. Rasping down the hump on the bridge is the easy part. Stitching together cartilage to create a perfect tip, and narrowing bones so they aren't as wide, are very difficult. Go follow Dr. Ghavami on Snapchat, he snaps from the OR every day and demonstrates these things.
I went back to him and got cheek filler and juvederm during my 6 month follow-up, those were great too. Dr. Ghavami is very busy and is always in a bit of a hurry. If you're looking for somebody to relax with, to talk about life and love and the reasons we all want plastic surgery, go elsewhere. If you want excellent results from the absolute best in the business, go here.
I didn't get anything in exchange for this review, I just am incredibly grateful and want other people to know that he's the real deal before too many celebs walk through his door and he becomes inaccessible to us normal folk. ;)

I'm a professional actress, so my face is critical...
I'm a professional actress, so my face is critical to my career. I did a ton of research and looked at lots of pics- beware the docs who don't show the front-facing view of their rhinoplasty work- this can be a red flag for symmetry problems. Dr. Ghavami's pictures are consistently excellent and that for me justified the price tag. We had a Skype conference, which he was 2 hours late for because he got tied up in surgery. I don't care about that, I'm willing to wait, especially since that shows how much he cares about every patient.
He didn't do 3D imaging but instead drew a photo, and he had my pictures printed up which we discussed. We were on the same page from the beginning- I didn't have a huge cosmetic problem with my nose but I hated how wide the tip was (I'm Irish). He told me exactly what he wanted to do and what my likely result would be. The payment process went smoothly, and I was given plenty of material and medication that made me very confident in Dr. Ghavami and his office. They took wonderful care of me the day of surgery.
I actually had a complication, and I'm living proof that you should only go to the best for your plastic surgery. I forgot to put on my form that I have TMJD, which occasionally gives me lockjaw (my jaw pops out of its socket and gets painfully stuck there). I mentioned it to the nurse before the surgery, and apparently when they went to put me under, I took a huge yawn, my jaw popped out of its socket, and I passed out. Dr. Ghavami apparently came in, realized what had happened, and felt confident enough to do the surgery anyway. The lockjaw pulls the skin on my face to one side, so I was a little concerned. Six months post-op, my nose is PERFECTLY symmetrical. Disaster averted. I woke up with my jaw still popped to one side and a nurse gently telling me what had happened and urging me not to panic. I didn't panic as I knew instantly what was wrong. Luckily, Dr. Ghavami's office is located in the same building as an ENT, who he called up to make a visit to his office. The ENT worked some magic with his fingers and popped my jaw back in (painkiller prevented me from feeling how painful this likely was after an hour of being stuck). I was in excellent hands from beginning to end.
6 months post-op, My nose is perfect and beautiful and matches the proportions of the rest of my face. I'm a photoshopper, and now my nose looks like how I had been photoshopping it for years. I'm obsessed. I'm getting more acting work. I feel on the outside how I've always thought of myself. The tip does swell when I sleep, and when it's humid outside, but I know that's normal and it's slowly going down. Dr. Ghavami is expensive, but in my case, I'm incredibly happy I went to him.
