Oh boy, where do I start... I went and got this...

Oh boy, where do I start...

I went and got this huge piece on my underarm. It covers the entire surface from wrist to arm pit.
Even going so far as to reaching around to my upper arm. I am a man that never cries and I can't stop crying. I have no appetite, I have difficulties focusing and realize that I'm falling into a depression. I feel so empty.

I just want to lie in bed and cry, but I don't really want to do that either. I have never felt this bad before, not even with friends or family dying. This is the worst I've ever felt, I feel more powerless now than I have ever, ever felt before. I'm trying to think positive thoughts and I realize that it's so fresh so maybe It'll get better as I go along.

I had the same artist as usual but I never realized that the wings are almost identical to another tattoo I have above it. Let's just say that I was very stressed on the day of getting the tattoo three days ago.

About 8 hours after getting the tattoo I started getting doubts, I fell into a fever and went home from work and stood in front of the mirror and started crying, realizing the mistake. After that it just got worse. I started seeing more and more things about that I didn't like, like the cross (i'm an atheist) so far down on the wrist but I really, really despise the wings as they imitate the wings on my upper tattoo.

I need this fresh piece gone and I need your advice. Should I go for a PicaSure laser or will YAG do?
Do you have any good advice on what to wear meanwhile getting rid of it? How long will it take? Have you tried getting a new piece on your underarm removed? How did it go?

I'm going on holiday to the USA (I'm Swedish) and have booked a first appointment with Dr. Tattoff in Beverly HIlls on March 5th. Will update after the meeting.

Hey, thanks for your story. I have been working on two full arm sleeve removal for the past six months. I want yoy to know that I was deeply upset like yourself. Six months later, I feel much better in general but the process is still emotional at times. We all nake mistakes but we are in this together and I wish you the best during your new journey.

I am no doctor but a doctor told me they could not use pico in my situation because I had so much dense ink and the pico laser was narrow. Only your specialist can really tell you which laser is best for you. Also, pico is great for color removal from what I heard. If a tattoo is black then many other lasers can still do fine at half the price. Everyones tattoo is different so I am sure when your specialist looks at it he/she will recommend the correct laser.

Just for clarification, the Picosure is good for tattoos that have been previously treated and have remaining green. It won't work on red, orange, yellow, etc. Those colors should be treated with a 532nm wavelength of light. Best, Dr. Kirby

Hey there, Im going through the same thing but mines is not where you can see it. Mines is on my stomach and i got it to cover an ugly scar but come to find out the tattoo just made me feel even worse about it. the tattoo is well done but i just want the tattoo gone. My tattoo is a little over a month old and after i got my tattoo i regretted getting it immediately. i felt horrible for weeks i was depressed and not eating hell i think i even lose a little weight. But i too went for a consultation at dr.tattoff but in houston. The staff were super friendly and sweet and during the consultation they really go in detail on what happens during the procedure and stuff like that. I wish you the best of luck on ur tattoo removal process. And hopefully ill be starting mine soon as well. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Williams122! Yeah, the upside to that is that you will be able to cover it during the removal process. Thanks! Really looking forward to my consultation (and vacation! First time in the states!)

Hey there, don't beat yourself up, your health and well being is way more important than this tattoo. I completely understand you feelings, I went through them myself blackberry11 along with many others on the site, so I am glad you found us. You'll
find lots of support here, everyone is at varying stages of the tattoo
removal process and will be happy to help you. You've taken the first step to putting things right by talking about it. It's a very new tattoo so maybe you just need time to adjust. Would you be willing to share some pictures so we can give our suggestions regarding laser type (keep in mind you must get an expert opinion through a consultation, but the community feedback is great too)  Again, try
not to be hard on yourself - nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes - it's
part of experiencing life! You will rectify this. Be sure to keep writing as It helps to get things out and it also help others too!

Wow! Thanks for your response Eva. I'm baffled at the kindness of this community. I'm considering uploading a picture of the tattoo, but at the same time I'm afraid to "out" myself. Let me think about it! :)

Feeling ALOT better

Jaxs0n
It's been an intense six days, but I've come off on top. I'm starting to feel alot better about the tattoo. I'm considering uploading an image, but I'm afraid to "out" myself.

Going through so many emotions in such a brief period of time was new for me.
I've been through quite a lot in my years, so it's strange to say that this was the kicker for me.

I've been looking into some different alternatives as well. Serial Excision and/or infinityinking (that tattoo ink that goes away straight away with laser) to take the focus off the "double wings". First thing is first, and that's my meeting with Dr. Tattoff in Beverly Hills.

I'm amazed at how friendly and supportive you have been so far.
This might possibly be the kindest place on the internet.
