I have suffered from acne since age 13, it actually got better after trying tetracycline. However it still got back, I have bumps on my neck, oily skin, old acne scars and dark spots on face. Enough is enough and i am looking for a permanent solution. I had to stop accutane for 1 week, because i was sick, but i went to my derm today and im starting the treatment again. Claravis 40 mg

I started taking it as well. I'm on my 2nd week. I'm hoping for much less breakouts. I don't expect them to be gone completely but a lot less. I wish u the best of luck and hope it works for you.

Probably most of you guys have suffered from acne for a long period of time and have tried everything we can think of to get rid of acne. I’m including myself in that list, puberty doesn’t last 10 years, and then we still get pimples and bad acne? I work out, eat healthy, drink lot of water, and wash my face twice a day, why is acne still here after 10 years of my life? Oh well, I have lived ignoring the fact that I have acne to make my life easier, I have kept myself busy with school, work, family and real friends (not looking myself too much in the mirror). I ignored my acne, even though I knew it was on my face. I have had low self-esteem because of all nicknames I have been called, such as: Freddy Krueger, little monster, pizza face, etc. I had been in a lot of fights in high school because I couldn’t tolerate people making fun of my acne. But oh well, that ended and life went on, and I went to college and I met my ex-girlfriend. Yes, she was the straw that broke the camel’s back. She was such a superficial girl, (a pretty girl from the outside, but a monster from the inside) I don’t even remember how many times she called me ugly, and even called me Freddy Krueger because of my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation acne. The times I see her texting with her friends about how ugly I was for her, and how she was doing me a “favor” for going out with me? When she would popped my pimples, and would say: “I’m doing this for us, I like my boyfriends to be hot and good looking and you’re far from there, because of your acne” (

Are you serious?!?! She said those things about you?!?!?! YOU DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER! That is so horrible for her to behave that way and i'm so sorry that you had to endure it. No one ever has the right to degrade another human like that. Something everyone needs to remember is that looks fade, personality stays with us forever. Ugh, i am still so disgusted about the way she spoke of you. How disheartening. I want you to know that not all people are superficial like that. Someone is not worth your time and energy if they are going to treat you that way. She must have had some pretty horrible insecurities herself to have that attitude. Success and happiness aren't measured by the condition of your skin. Good on you for doing something for you, accutane is an exciting journey! Can't wait to see how you progress mate.

That type of girls are [RS bleep] type, all they want is money and beauty, your face looked much better than mine, i used to have acne when i was a teen now i have scars, maybe i was a lucky guy all girls i met are honest and cute one of them been my wife for 12 years, my wife is gorgeous i'm telling ya, i'm an ugly scar face man, chin up, don't look down on yourself, finish school get some $$$ fix your face with laser not Accutane, accutane is poison, just be patient and show your ex-gf you are not the man that she thinks.

It really does break my heart when people are picked on for the way they look. In my opinion, people that insult others are just insecure themselves. I am really sorry that you have had to deal with rude, judgmental people. You be sure to keep your chin-up, and be proud that you are taking the steps to treat your acne. I recently put this discussion together and I would love it if you got the conversation started by leaving a comment.

I really like Triluma for my hyperpigmentation. I have it on my chin from ingrown hair, and I'm a female...works great, but its expensive, lasts a long time. Its a great topical treat. Remember to only the affected area to see the fastest results. I use it few times a month for maintenence. Good luck.
