I went to see Dr. Magge originally for a breast lift but need to hold off on that for several months since I just stopped breastfeeding. Though he originally recommended a tummy tuck, after seeing me for a second consult (as I wasn't even thinking of lipo when I first met him), he found that I was still a candidate for SmartLipo. I was adamant that I wasn't going to do a tummy tuck. Fortunately, he was not remotely pushy but he was very honest that I would get the best results with a tummy tuck due to my two pregnancies. I took a chance and booked my SmartLipo surgery immediately. They accommodated my needs and I was on the operating room within four days.
It has only been a week at this point but I am very happy with my results! I already have a much flatter stomach and that pooch I've had my whole life is gone. He removed 1300cc so there was a good amount to get rid of. My pain is minimal and I stopped all meds within 3 days of the lipo. Fortunately, I tend to heal quickly so I can't say whether everyone will bounce back as fast but I know that being in Dr. Magge's hands for this procedure definitely impacted my results.
I look forward to seeing the final results in a couple of months when my body is done healing but I am so happy I went to Dr. Magge. He has been wonderful throughout this process.

Here are some pictures from this morning. Minimal swelling in the morning (increases a bit by the end of the day). Still wearing my medical grade compression garment 24/7. I have never had this flat of a tummy in my life. Keep in mind, the scars on my stomach are from a previous surgery several years ago.

I was the same way, I refused to get a tummy tuck because of the down time it involves. I had quite a bit of fat to get rid of off of my upper/lower abs and love handles. Once I had my kids I had a pouch on my lower abs and once I had my hysterectomy, that pouch hung over my bikini line! I did the Smart Lipo and I couldn't be happier! I put myself in a life style/eating habbit training 3 weeks before the surgery. You can't get all your fat removed and then think you can eat whatever you want, it CAN come back!! The main thing I would tell everyone is to PLEASE do your research!! Cheaper isn't always better when it comes to your body! So glad you are happy with your results and I hope it just keeps getting better!! :)

I agree, cheaper isn't always better, actually it's often worse. I was lucky that my doctor was having a SmartLipo promotion. He's a board certified plastic surgeon at a highly reputable office but he's new to the area, hence why I think they were offering the promotion... To build up clientele. I already work out 2-3 days a week so the lipo wasn't part of a weight loss scheme for me. I was just trying to get rid of that jiggle that I've had since I was a kid.
Thank you for your helpful input and well wishes! Glad to hear others have had great results too!!
